RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Hopefully directors buying will mean a northwards move soon.....

apple - 29 Dec 2003 14:43 - 466 of 2406

Douggie - 30 Dec 2003 09:20 - 467 of 2406

javidshaik - 30 Dec 2003 10:49 - 468 of 2406

apple, how do you know yesterday was director buying?

Fundamentalist - 30 Dec 2003 10:51 - 469 of 2406

It was announced via RNS

blakester - 30 Dec 2003 10:52 - 470 of 2406

When are the results out?

Fundamentalist - 30 Dec 2003 10:55 - 471 of 2406

They are for the year ended 31st December and last year were announced on March 11th, with a trading update on Jan 21st

blakester - 30 Dec 2003 10:57 - 472 of 2406

Are we expecting further rises, do you think?

B_ASKIN - 30 Dec 2003 10:57 - 473 of 2406

That's O.K.Fundamentalist beat me to it.
If you want to see all the news on a company, just go to your watchlist and click the Epic, or use the news tab for one that's not on your list.

blakester - 30 Dec 2003 13:18 - 476 of 2406

Do we think further rises are on the cards, people?

apple - 30 Dec 2003 13:26 - 477 of 2406

blakester

The directors expect further rises, that's why they bought.

Fundamentalist - 30 Dec 2003 14:19 - 478 of 2406

Personally am expecting positive news in the trading update mid to end January and confirmation of this in the results in March. i am imho expecting turnover to be up to 35m deriving a profit of between 5m and 6m (this based upon the nov trading statement saying that second half would be better than first half). This would equate to a current EPS of 1.2 (on 5m profit) and a PE ratio of 10.4. If profits were to come in at 6m (they were 2.8m at the half yr) then an EPS of 1.5 and a PE ratio of 8.6. Considering the growth potential and the currently strong trading conditions I feel this undervalues the company and would expect to see a rise in the share price. That said, I am in this for longer than this set of results, as i believe that there is far more growth to come in the next few years. All IMHO and DYOR - anyone else with any projections on the expected set of results?

moneyplus - 30 Dec 2003 16:48 - 479 of 2406

Quite right, and clearly the directors are in agreement with you. What with all the positive noises from the christmas online retailing season (have you seen how well tesco.com has been doing), one can only imagine the festive spirit at the most recent board meeting, the last before the company goes into the pre-results close period. Hence the director buying - have they had a preview of the excellent results that are to be revealed to the market in March.....??!

blakester - 31 Dec 2003 11:55 - 480 of 2406

From Robbie Burns website...www.frequentrader.info

"Retail Decisions. Directors are starting to buy - this one has stabilised at around the 12p mark which should become a bottom for the shares. I think they will suddenly take off - target price for 2004: 22p"

Douggie - 31 Dec 2003 12:56 - 481 of 2406

?????? pity with more buy than sell trades they reduced share value by 0.5p !!!....best of new years all Doug :-))

overgrowth - 02 Jan 2004 00:10 - 482 of 2406

No posts for RTD for a whole day - is this a record ?

Everyone I speak to has been ordering stuff over the internet this Christmas (many didn't even have a computer last Christmas). I know that this means nothing in the grand scheme of things, however in conjunction with all the bullish reports on RTD, it confirms my suspicions that the real internet boom is now starting to take hold.

None of this dot com malarkey anymore, just solid established blue-chip companies attracting more and more customers on-line. Because RTD are already familiar to these companies from the card clearing service, the card not present internet market should be very accomodating.

Sorry folks - didn't come out. That was the RTD 1 -year chart, in the rudest of rude health.
