Frampton dont give up trying as last week I was in position 940 and now at no 20 so it can be done with a lot of luck!

Rutherford - 21 Nov 2005 12:18 - 468 of 550

VOG, that was it!

Frampton - 21 Nov 2005 17:13 - 469 of 550

Well done.

Any reason why you cant trade DGM in the game, says trading not allowed during market auction ?

hewittalan6 - 22 Nov 2005 15:06 - 474 of 550

Ian,
Over on the NOWT thread, we want to run this competition, but with a Golden Pigs Ear award for the most inept invesment performance.
Gonna judge it for us????

Virtual biofuels trades in the comp after the suspension are
ruled off side!
Real Sympathy for those with real bfc holdings though

PapalPower - 24 Nov 2005 17:18 - 477 of 550

do not lose heart, I am only in it for fun, and do not want to win any prizes just enjoy the challenge of finishing first, IF I am in first spot at any of the winning times I will decline the prize, so it makes second place a profitable one to be in.

remember, it is not what you get from taking part, it is the taking part itself that offers the most.

Papal

personally dont think it is right that you dont accept any prizes you may win - however if you decide to donate to chairty i think would be a great gesture

PapalPower - 24 Nov 2005 17:35 - 479 of 550

Yes of course that is the other option and I would have no worries over doing that, but lets see if I keep in first place first, nothing is won until its won.

Is the leader board for real?
Have 2 people really made that kind of gain? And if so, WOW!!!
Alan

jimmy b - 30 Nov 2005 09:22 - 482 of 550

You would have thought papalpower could have just waited for the prize this month, i can't believe the gains the other two have made.

hewittalan6 - 30 Nov 2005 09:25 - 483 of 550

Just can't think how they did it, Jimmy. The biggest rising shares yesterday only went up about 30%, and the same for the fallers, but these two made gains well over 100% in a day!!
Alan

Kayak - 30 Nov 2005 09:25 - 484 of 550

Was it the RTD consolidation I wonder :-)

hewittalan6 - 30 Nov 2005 09:29 - 485 of 550

Surely that would have been profit neutral, as the sp rose by 5x but you got 1/5 of the number of shares.
