Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

So get more exercise!!!!

On the note of logging out problems etc., it does seem to happen more and more frequently, recently just after I have written a post and when i try to post it.
Also it is getting to be a regular occurance, that when I click thread list at the end of a thread, I get the web site not respomding (ERROR 502) message.
Annoying, but hardly life threatening.

I see people are using invisible statcounters again!

Surely this shouldn't be allowed, as they are collecting the ip addresses of Moneyam customers, and you have to ask why?




As you can see, the code is invisible, you have to view the page source to see it!

There is no way of stopping it as the same effect is obained by putting an image in a post.

This post has the same image except it has width=0,height=0

Even if you have some sort of alert feature and, a manual delete?

If ADVFN can change MAM to 'an advfn competitor', surely something could be done to ruin the code?

One wonders why they want to collect our ip addresses?

But you would have to stop the displaying of images in posts as it does the same thing. If you view an image that is hosted by the person who posted it they can see your IP address plus lots of other info (what operating system you have, your screen resolution etc, your domain, your ISP)

ok fair enough, I wouldn't want to stop images in posts, as they add colour and and illustrations to threads, and I use them myself, as I think they add interest.

Got logged off 6 times I think today, once around 22.30 and once just now.

Again logged off just now. There's something about half past midnight.

I never was good at guessing women's ages. That was always my excuse anyway :-)

Not sure if its an unintended bug or a clever enhancement, but.......
When i open Stockwatch and roll my mouse over the watch list, the list gets surrounded by a hatched line. If i then click anywhere on the list it automaticly centres itself on screen. Saves me having to scroll, but I've never seen it before.

Just seen a strange thing on the Thread list, a thread showing the number of new posts as -1 !

I have a screen shot if you want me to mail it somewhere. Its the sat nav for car thread still showing -1.
