The market seems to be selling-off on the back of limited bad news imo, apart from the dollar that is.

If you can hold your nerve and apart from any short term requirements to offload poor performing stocks, I have a couple!!, my advice would be sit tight. This does not have the feel of the tech(mining!) bubble at all. Difference being there are a lot of good fundamentals, unlike in 2000 when there were a lot of over rated nothing companies.

no good reason ...... it's just the index that i have followed over time .... anyway, so far so good

bought more azm, kmr, ng. will tell you a couple of weeks how I got on.

Dow long performing very well at least for the moment; will put stop loss in place before going home.

just bought a couple of gold contracts at $642.75 which is arguably $5.00 late

Added some more BIFF at 314 at the death.

More potential for movement still this week though.

Dow stopped out with 46 point profit = much better than nowt, and am glad to see that it is struggling its way up again

note the time ..... Dow has suddenly perked up; now 12146 mid and trending higher .... keep your fingers crossed boys and gals, but i think Dow will finish about 12200, and with luck a bit above ..... if so, that will undoubtedly spill over into F/E markets

not at all a happy finish in USA.... Dow finishing just over 12050 .... grasping at straws, the trading seemed generally quite directionless .... keep your fingers crossed and start praying to whichever god gives you most comfort

ftse seems to have some support at 6000, if broken next stop 5800...

The Dow was down true, but the far east was up so we will be as well.

But we should all remain EXTRA wary ..... this bounce was overdue ...... as i have said before shares and markets do not rise or fall in straight lines ...... a salutary article from Godman Sachs on the front page of Telegraph Biz is worth reading.
