THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Let us hope that Labour does this as Johnson would be just as and maybe more unelectable than Milibland.

Labour MPs urge Alan Johnson to challenge for leader amid growing disgruntlement with Ed Miliband

Frustrated MPs tell The Telegraph Miliband's leadership is a 'tragedy' and say the 'country would give a cheer' if former home secretary launched a challenge

EM will not be kicked into touch before the election any more than DC will be

and don't believe the polls at w/e any more than you did (should have done) in the months gone by
the ballot box on the day never lies

Exec,

If I can remember where I left mine I will give it a try after you have shown me how!

----------

Manuel,

Are you sure that the "ballot box never lies"?

It certainly seems to produce a lot of liars.

Good old John Prescott, he said Labour would do away with the ''Breakfast Tax''. Nice to know his fingers on the pulse.

What do you expect of John.

He had just come out of the bedroom!

He doesn't need a photo on Twitter!

Fred1new - 06 Oct 2014 16:00 - 46892 of 81564

Haze,

Pie in the Sky.

Nobody in Labour or Lib Dems would consider an election for their leader in the last year of a parliament.

Mind having written that, I hope no tory thinks of shooting Cameron in the next 9 months.

After that?

That is a different matter.

Prefer to seem him tortured for a few months asking questions of PM Miliband and then they could shoot him.

2517GEORGE - 06 Oct 2014 16:03 - 46893 of 81564

He'll forget the question.

Nah,

Cameron isn't deteriorating as quickly as Manuel!

David Cameron promises to withdraw Britain from the European Union (yes – I mean it)

By Andrew Lilico Politics and society Last updated: October 5th, 2014

In his speech to Conservative Party Conference, David Cameron said this:

But we know the bigger issue today is migration from within the EU.

Immediate access to our welfare system. Paying benefits to families back home.

Employment agencies signing people up from overseas and not recruiting here.

Numbers that have increased faster than we in this country wanted…

…at a level that was too much for our communities, for our labour markets.

All of this has to change – and it will be at the very heart of my renegotiation strategy for Europe.

Britain, I know you want this sorted so I will go to Brussels, I will not take no for an answer and when it comes to free movement – I will get what Britain needs.

More lies here: David Cameron promises to withdraw Britain from the European Union (yes – I mean it)

cynic - 06 Oct 2014 17:14 - 46899 of 81564

he wasn't going to say, "but sorry chaps, it's almost certainly a complete waste of time", though actually enough may be squeezed out of brussels for DC, if he gets the chance, to mount a respectable campaign for staying in

MaxK - 06 Oct 2014 17:43 - 46900 of 81564

He can promise all he wants....he wont be leading the cons after the next election anyway.

MaxK - 06 Oct 2014 17:44 - 46901 of 81564

Indeed, I'm surprised they haven't dumped him already.
