Ajren;Perhaps as this competition has been going for many months before you joined MoneyAM you might bow to the organiser and originator of this thread,Little Woman, and accept her ethos. Perhaps you might like to start a Serious FTSE Competition 2004 and you can establish your own ethos.

ajren - 28 May 2004 15:49 - 473 of 1685

Hi AdieH,

I do like debating this issue.YOU are aggressive i.e.FUN thread....
majority would go with this.

Perhaps your bizarre 4567 explains your FUN

ajren - 28 May 2004 16:58 - 481 of 1685

I want to win EVERY DAY and am VERY annoyed if I am outside the top 10.Why ??
Because it clearly shows I know almost NOTHING about my work i.e.inability to
predict - within reasonable parameters - what the level will be in 1 MONTH.
I am only number 7 today.That,for me,is bad.

Hi Kayak,
Please do.I do not HIDE behind the word FUN as an excuse for bizarre figures.
You were no 29 out of 71 which is certainly not bizarre.

LW

thanks for your continued efforts on this.

Like you ( an accountant working irregularly) I see this as a bit of fun and like to have a balance between fun and seriousness. Ultimately this is a game for free where the prize is 50 voucher. when I invest my own money there is much more at stake and hence take it a bit more seriously.

to me keeping the balance right is. there are times to be serious and times to have fun - LW - keep having your fun - its what keeps us sane.
