So you don't support anyone.

Ed: Dirty Leeds to win and the other two to draw would suit.

2517GEORGE - 15 Feb 2016 17:23 - 4722 of 6918

That'll put you in 4th with the fast improving Owls breathing down your neck. You gotta admit it doesn't look good for automatic promotion for your team.

Stan - 15 Feb 2016 17:25 - 4723 of 6918

It's looking very good from here.

2517GEORGE - 15 Feb 2016 17:50 - 4724 of 6918

I hope you get promotion for your sake Stan, maybe that should be for your wife's sake because you'll be unbearable if they fail.

Wife says I'm unbearable now so not going up would make absolutely no difference -):

..But of course Burnley are going up.

Stan - 15 Feb 2016 21:33 - 4726 of 6918

There's a very good reason why no one should fear Sheff. Wed either George as regards promotion.

Stan - 24 Feb 2016 07:41 - 4727 of 6918

Sam Vokes scored his 10th goal of the season to earn victory over Nottingham Forest and keep Burnley in second place in the Championship table.

A resolute rearguard and some fine goalkeeping from Dorus de Vries kept Forest level in the first half.

And despite improving after the break, they trailed when Vokes anticipated a clever Andre Gray dummy and swept the ball in.

Forest pressed late on but the hosts held on without too much alarm.

The Reds struggled to create opportunities throughout against a defence which has now not conceded a goal in winning three of their last four games.

And only Hull's victory at Ipswich prevented Burnley from going top of the table.

They had to be patient after finding De Vries in fine form to deny David Jones, Gray and Vokes in the first period.

Forest could have gone ahead after the break but Jamie Ward shot over when well placed.

And, after Vokes scored from close range after 68 minutes, Burnley were able to close out victory.

..You were saying George?

2517GEORGE - 24 Feb 2016 09:58 - 4728 of 6918

Burnley won with a disputed goal, nevertheless it's a win and 3 pts, I still say they will miss out on auto-pro. However it's very close to call and I hope for your sake they do manage to go up.

No disputing that goal old son, and would have been more if all the chances had been taken.

2517GEORGE - 25 Feb 2016 06:53 - 4730 of 6918

Having watched the clip several times I agree the ball did not appear to go out just prior to the goal. Very tame in front of goal though.
2517

Stan - 25 Feb 2016 07:02 - 4731 of 6918

Tame who?

2517GEORGE - 25 Feb 2016 07:06 - 4732 of 6918

Your team of course, all those chances. What are you doing up so early?
2517

Stan - 25 Feb 2016 07:20 - 4733 of 6918

Missing chances is not tame, not creating any is.

So come on then who do you support?

2517GEORGE - 25 Feb 2016 08:52 - 4734 of 6918

No one in the championship, I support---oh, who did you vote for in the GE, you've still not said.
2517

Stan - 25 Feb 2016 16:28 - 4735 of 6918

Don't be so childish who do you support?

2517GEORGE - 27 Feb 2016 12:31 - 4736 of 6918

Tricky game for Burnley today.

I wouldn't be surprised if Barcelona become the first club to retain the champions league title and of course in the process becoming : the first to win the European title twice in a row since Milan AC in the late eighties....

required field - 27 Feb 2016 19:50 - 4738 of 6918

Burnley : good one to bet on....now that I've said it....hope I don't jinx their winning streak...

2517GEORGE - 28 Feb 2016 13:04 - 4739 of 6918

It was a tricky game Bolton were the better team for much of the game but Burnley who had not played well came through with 2 late goals from Andre Gray. It makes all the difference when you don't play so well and get the points.

It looks like any 2 from 4 for auto pro.

What a life of a primadonna>>>>>>>>>Ronaldo
SHAME on YOU

The Portuguese star claimed the club would be top of La Liga if every player was on his level after the defeat to Atletico, but explained himself to the dressing room on Monday

'Ronaldo clarifies controversial comments about Real Madrid team-mates' on ... before backtracking on his comments.

SPECIAL REPORT

Cristiano Ronaldo apologised to his Real Madrid team-mates ahead of a training session on Monday and attempted to clarify comments he made following the derby defeat to Atletico Madrid, Goal understands.

Some 40 hours after losing 1-0 to rivals Atletico, Real's player were reunited on Monday in the Valdebebas training complex. Zinedine Zidane had scheduled training for 11am following a day off, and in the meantime plenty had been said since match official Clos Gomez blew for full time at the Bernabeu.

Almost all was negative, and much had to do with Ronaldo's outburst in the mixed zone.

The consensus was that Ronaldo had shown arrogance and disrespect to his team-mates in his attempt to highlight his own performances.
