Not just another coffee shop chain - this one is a brand leader and is only trading in Eastern/Central Europe (i.e. the countries recently admitted to the EU destined for substantial business growth). Adie, looking at the Woods & Co Broker note, they provide a breakdown forecast out to 2015 of predicted continued growth. So at some stage maybe top slice and take profit and leave the rest to run come what may.

Alternatively, one could follow the Jim Slater/Warren Buffet approach of continue to buy into your winners provided they are undervalued in terms of the PER & PEG.

If the stock becomes overvalued/overbought in terms of PER/PEG then sell the lot and take profits. If no bad news, make your judgement on Value criteria rather than what the herd may be doing. Sorry if I am teaching you to suck eggs. :-)

No thanks for the advice, have already topped sliced so its all profit at present, no funds to top up at present as I have not done so well on other investments, over all porfolio is up but that is mainly due to COH...

Seems to be another heavenly day! Long may it continue.:-)

AdieH - 27 Oct 2006 13:25 - 479 of 2037

Rumours now starting of Whitbread approach, wouldn't give too much credance to it though... helping to move price though...

silvermede - 27 Oct 2006 15:42 - 480 of 2037

I'd rather a slow but steady climb than sky rockets going up and falling out of the sky!

AdieH - 27 Oct 2006 15:51 - 481 of 2037

I suspect this won't drop so dramatically as there seems to be some substance behind the rise, i.e. numis re-rating the company at 45p... suspect we may get somewhere near this before the AGM then possibly fall back slightly before the next push.. IMHO...

foale - 27 Oct 2006 15:54 - 482 of 2037

Rises do bring out the profit takers though...

Although that fall to 28p cleared the way for this rise....
I see 40p as a temporary top though.

AdieH - 27 Oct 2006 17:10 - 483 of 2037

Would agree foale but its interesting to note the sp did not fall when these apparent sells went through, it indicates if they are sells that mm's are happy to hold, what do they know or are they guessing that we will be nearer 40-45p by the time of the AGM... Just a thought on what the mm's are up to...

AIM news in shares last week. Headline Coffeeheaven wakes up to Eastern Europe. Well worth reading for the coffee followers Keep the coffee pot hot

silvermede - 30 Oct 2006 14:43 - 485 of 2037

Headline should have read: 'Eastern Europe wakes up to Coffeeheaven'!!

foale - 30 Oct 2006 14:59 - 486 of 2037

"these apparent sells " why do people get so obsessed about so called buys and sells....

If it moves up there was more buying interest or a shortage of stock.. thats it..
its a waste of time trying to figure out is it a buy or a sell....

AdieH - 30 Oct 2006 15:09 - 487 of 2037

Does it really matter day on day, it's still up 5% on two days, FTSE down today and most of my portfolio is down, wait till 14th November when results released and see if were near 40/45p...

silvermede - 30 Oct 2006 15:17 - 488 of 2037

Relax guys. The Wood & Co Note had the growth strategy mapped out to 2015, a long way to go yet!

stockdog - 30 Oct 2006 15:37 - 489 of 2037

foale - is it like trying to work out whether you are a very strong beer or a young horse?

Fwaza esquire - 30 Oct 2006 17:20 - 490 of 2037
