THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

cynic - 13 Oct 2014 08:43 - 47390 of 81564

why does it require a response from me or anyone else?
it's merely a regurgitation of your usual inaccurate nonsense

dreamcatcher - 13 Oct 2014 08:46 - 47391 of 81564

Labour are nervous of Boris. Far from a dimwit or clown as you put it. Could well be the next con leader.

no cynic the people of Clacton have voted ukip does that make Clacton people racist

MaxK - 13 Oct 2014 09:14 - 47394 of 81564

Of course it does!

cynic - 13 Oct 2014 09:38 - 47395 of 81564

if clacton's residents are similar to those of frinton, then yes, they almost certainly are ...... they would no doubt deny it, but i wonder how many non-white members there are of their local golf club

more seriously, there is no question at all that the current immigration system needs a radical overhaul so that those who are allowed residential status have skills that are required and/or can prove that they will not be a strain/drain on the welfare system ..... that is not greatly different from what australia, usa and canada already have in place

ExecLine - 13 Oct 2014 09:55 - 47396 of 81564

I don't think the people on here, who are slinging the term racist about, actually know what it means.

Racism consists of both prejudice and discrimination based in social perceptions of biological differences between peoples.

It often takes the form of social actions, practices or beliefs, or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities.

Before these posters go any further, they need to define what they mean by the term 'racist'?

It cannot be wrong to want to protect the culture of your country against it being spoiled by residents of another country.

But similarly, it must be wrong to say that the UK is being spoiled by people from other countries when they immigrate into the UK and add value.

As in all things, moderation is usually the best stance.

it must be wrong to say that the UK is being spoiled by people from other countries when they immigrate into the UK and add value.

exactly so and is rather what i have written several times before

Shortie - 13 Oct 2014 10:10 - 47398 of 81564

Is voting for the UKIP racist? If so why? Last time I checked immigration was only one reason why we maybe shouldn't be in the EU... Personally the EU policies on Health and Safety, Minimum Wage, Benefits, HUMAN bloody RIGHTS, Environment and Energy are all reasons why voting for UKIP makes sense... On a personal note if I can sit with my family on the beach in Southsea eating ice-cream and not feel like I'm a stranger on my own shores I'd be a lot happier...

ExecLine - 13 Oct 2014 10:19 - 47399 of 81564

Exactly.

Voting for UKIP might be racist.

Voting for UKIP might not be racist.

As to whether it is racist or not to vote UKIP depends on the motives of the individual voters.

It cannot be defined as a generality. As in: "If you vote for UKIP you are being racist."

What utter rubbish!

Good old Shortie.

TANKER - 13 Oct 2014 10:36 - 47402 of 81564

cynic you have posted many times on migrants working cleaning cars .
well if that is what they are allowed in the uk to do then it must be stopped
they will pay no taxes none but will use all services that must end
just back from Tenerife and Portugal and did ask questions
the e 111 is only for minor needs and can not be used fror other treatments you have to have insurance the immigrants coming to the uk have nothing and pay nothing even cleaning cars they claim benefits . that is why we are going to vote ukip our only hope . most of the low life scum coming to the uk are criminals

TANKER - 13 Oct 2014 10:36 - 47403 of 81564

ukip are the party of the uk the only party

TANKER - 13 Oct 2014 10:39 - 47404 of 81564

ask any immigrant one question why do you want to come to the uk .
answer benefits they give you house and money and free services we have won the lottery .

Shortie - 13 Oct 2014 11:02 - 47405 of 81564

Why does Cameron, Milliband and Clegg want us in Europe? Answers simple, they get paid for not making any decisions... How the Prime Minister can claim to be running the country is beyond me, his policies must fall in-line with those of Brussels as must law.. Why do we have so many MPs, I think the real answer is due to the amount of RED tape we now have to jump through and be compliant upon... The below link is just one example of everything wrong with being in the EU...

Shortie - 13 Oct 2014 11:16 - 47406 of 81564

I don't believe that every immigrant comes to the country for benefits... I've met plenty that are taxi driving here as the money is good which they send home... Lets face it, if I could do the same job in Poland earning twice as much I would... And just like these immigrants I'd feel no loyalty to the country I'd be working in either!!

Lets not forget, they're here for the money however it's earn't because we allow them to be....

cynic - 13 Oct 2014 11:19 - 47407 of 81564

rather like "our chaps" going to m/e to work then

a similar analogy in m/e is to look to see the nationalit(ies) of all the hotel staff, and we are talking of those in reception, the hotel restaurants etc etc, so scarcely the "lowest form of life"
as here, the locals aren't interested or would not even be half as good
