whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 13:28

Read the latest interims.......just make sure that you are sitting down.

Cynic, thanks for posting that. I have been wondering if Quantum Leap is any good as a tipsheet after seeing their advertising material recently. Do you receive their newsletter?

cynic - 15 Dec 2006 13:18 - 477 of 3050

yes i do ...... i think it is quite good and probably less prone to hyping than say Shares Mag (sorry chaps) ..... that said, they do exaggerate their successes - e.g. the latest letter is dated 14/12, yet their entry price for SOLA is noted as 399.5 ..... oh really????

soul traders - 15 Dec 2006 13:28 - 478 of 3050

Thanks. BTW, check out CBOX - on the rise at present!

Dil - 16 Dec 2006 02:20 - 479 of 3050

If QL were any good they would have tipped it at 139p like SCSW did. Its more than trebled since at its high and if SCSW said sell now then SOLA would have to hit around 1400p for QL to equal the performance of SCSW.

Take your pick but as SCSW often points out "the johnny come latelys have now realised the potential" ....

cynic - 16 Dec 2006 06:31 - 480 of 3050

DIL ... what a load of crap! ..... who or what is SCSW anyway? ..... QL has a proven track record of picking a good percentage of winners from companies that are generally already well established ...... i certainly do not follow QL remotely slavishly, but find the articles well written and informative ..... whether or not you (or anyone else) chooses to take their advice is totally subjective.

for myself, i was put onto SOLA in late August (bought at 153) by my good friend soul*, who took enormous trouble typing a message to me by using a "tap-stick" in his mouth to work the keyboard.

since then, i have traded this stock pretty succesfully (by my standards) two or three times, most recently reopening a position about a week ago at 409, having sold out a few days previously at 472 (as posted here)

newbuy note from Galvan out last week

Dil - 16 Dec 2006 10:39 - 482 of 3050

If you've never heard of SCSW then how can you say my comparison of them to QL is crap ???

cynic - 16 Dec 2006 11:42 - 483 of 3050

DIL .... my comment of crap related to your general denigration of QL .... and of course you still do not enlighten as to who/what SCSW are, about whom you will note when you read properly, I have never made any comment.

goldfinger - 18 Dec 2006 05:03 - 484 of 3050

SCSW = Small Company Share Watch cynic.

Must say I had a trial with them and they were pretty good in fact probably the best tip sheet Ive had a trial with although I have never taken up QL.

Any idea of the address and do they do a free trial?

Nice being able to take a free look at all or most of the tip sheets, winnies lot dont give you a freebie though.

cynic - 18 Dec 2006 08:44 - 485 of 3050

Thanks for the info GF .... can't see QL on internet so will scan and transmit you the latest ..... may be easier if yoiu could let me have your direct e-mail address (mine is ranciduk@aol.com) ...... as for SCSW, i too shall take a look, though in honesty my trrading excludes any company with a cap below 10m, so SCSW may not be the right focus for me

goldfinger - 18 Dec 2006 09:04 - 486 of 3050

I thought I had seen your name before Cynic, up on Finfoex. SCSW do nearlly every company tip over 10 million. Ill send you the latest advert to your e-mail.

Dont wish to be a bore but for security reasons Im sorry but I prefer not to give my e-mail.

E- mail on its way.

Cheers GF.

Cynic - good morning - "tap-stick" : LMAO :o))

Forti, do you happen to have a link to that Galvan reco, or can you give us an idea of the price target?

SOLA Bid: 426p Offer: 430p Change: 5.5

cynic - 18 Dec 2006 10:31 - 492 of 3050

if "lmao", then beware you do not overstimulate your "farmers" as they may get painful again

soul traders - 18 Dec 2006 10:33 - 493 of 3050

They're permanently overstimulated, Cynic.

Buckets of ice does the trick.

cynic - 18 Dec 2006 10:36 - 494 of 3050

so do elastic bands which are a more permanent cure!

goldfinger - 18 Dec 2006 13:25 - 495 of 3050

Here it is..

Dear Investor,

Renesola hits new high

We've recently been keeping you informed about the progress of our September front-page write up, Renesola. We thought you might like to know that the shares have today reached another new high of 375p. That's a 174% increase on our recommendation price 3 months ago, following strong institutional buying.

The next issue of Sharewatch is out this Saturday and includes more exciting companies which we hope to perform just as well.

A virtual portfolio made up of all 89 main recommendations (including NAPS) in the newsletter between 1st January 2003 and 31st December 2005 showed an average gain of 57.4% (as at 4/4/06), on a mid-to-mid price basis and excluding dividends and dealing charges.

You can still download the September issue for free here

Always remember the risks in buying shares. With small companies, which comprise most of our recommendations, there is an above average degree of risk compared to buying blue chips. You may lose all or part of your capital. The difference between buy and sell prices can be wide and the market in some cases can be limited or could become so. Past performance is no indication of future success.

Warm regards,

Small Company Sharewatch
