Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

if you accept that civil servants actually do most of the governing, then history assuredly shows that FCO has been pretty consistently pro-palestinians and/or anti-israel and arguably anti-semitic notwithstanding that disraeli was a jew
i'ld also be interested to see in what conservative manifesto that the party line is pro-israel as haystack baldy and boldly asserts ..... 1/10 its has no foundation in fact other than it, and all other "proper" uk parties, support the existence of israel, even if haystack doesn't like the fact

WHAT THE PARROT DOESN'T COPY AND PASTE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T FIT HIS NAZI ISRAEL HATING AGENDA :
Israeli school bus hit by anti-tank missile in Negev
The recent wave of violence along the Israel-Gaza border continued this week when an Israeli school bus was struck by a guided anti-tank missile fired from Gaza on Thursday, leaving a 16 year-old boy in critical condition.
The explosion, outside Kibbutz Sa'ad in Sha'ar Hanegev, about 2.5 km from Gaza, also wounded the driver, who was hit by shrapnel in the leg.
The 13 year-old was found by paramedics in a critical condition with serious head injuries, who managed to resuscitate him before airlifting him to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba where he underwent surgery.
A member of the rescue service said that, the boy was lying on the ground bleeding. The bus driver was conscious and hysterical. The entire bus was destroyed it was a horrifying sight.
It has been reported that the incident could have been far worse had the school bus not been at the end of its journey and was only carrying the driver and remaining child.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad are believed to have a significant arsenal of Russian-made anti-tank missiles like the Kornet and Faggot that have a range of several kilometres.
The anti-tank missile attack was followed by a barrage of at least 45 Qassam rockets and mortar shells into the western Negev within a three-hour period from the Hamas held territory.
Whilst many of the projectiles landed in open territory, one mortar shell struck a home in the Eshkol Regional Council, sustaining damage but police said no injuries were reported.
Residents of communities near the site of attack were instructed by authorities to stay inside their homes in case the strikes at Israeli towns will continue.
Hamas military wing, the Izzadin Kassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack and proclaimed that it was the first response to the continuing crimes of the occupation.
The IDF responded to the latest terror attack by targeting various locations in the Strip, including three smuggling tunnels in southern Gaza and buildings reportedly used for terror activities in the north, reportedly killing five and injuring several.
As part of the Israeli response an IAF helicopter machine-gunned targets in the Strip, for the first time since Operation Cast Lead.
On Thursday night, Hamas announced a unilateral cease-fire to be honoured by all Gaza factions following the barrage of rocket fire that hit Israel earlier in the day.
After consulting with various other Palestinian terrorist factions in Gaza and other international Arab officials, Hamas said that the cease-fire went into effect at 11 p.m. Thursday.
Israels medical service Magen David Adom has raised its alert level to Level B one stage short of the highest level.
Foreign Secretary William Hague unreservedly condemned the latest terror attack and stressed that the attack further highlights Israels legitimate security concerns.
Earlier in the week, IDF planes struck a vehicle travelling in Khan Younis in south of the Gaza Strip, killing three Hamas operatives, one of them a top commander in Hamas' military wing.
An IDF Spokesperson stated that the three men were members of a terrorist cell that was planning to kidnap Israelis over the upcoming Jewish holiday of Passover in Israel and in the Sinai Peninsula, a popular spring tourist destination for Israelis.
The Palestinian Ma'an news agency identified the three as Ismail Labad and his brother Abdullah from Ash-Shati' refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, and top Hamas military commander Muhammad Ad-Dayah from the Zaytoun neighbourhood of Gaza City.
Hamas and 13 other militant groups based in Gaza vowed vengeance against Israel in a statement Saturday, vowing that Israel would bear all the consequences and that the violation of calm won't pass without punishment.

WHAT THE PARROT DOESN'T COPY AND PASTE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T FIT HIS NAZI ISRAEL HATING AGENDA :
Human Rights Watch accuse West Bank and Gaza security forces of attacking journalists
Human Rights Watch published a report on human rights abuses by Palestinian security forces this week strongly condemning the increase in attacks on local journalists, including arbitrary detentions and abuse.
The report detailed that over the past two years, the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank has stepped up harassment of journalists investigating corruption or seen to be supporters of the rival Hamas militant group.
The human rights organisation cited a 2010 report by the Palestinian Centre for Development and Media Freedoms, which found a 45 per-cent increase over the previous year in physical attacks, arrests, confiscation of equipment and other violations against journalists.
The independent, non-profit group recorded 79 cases of journalist abuse by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas.
Seven cases of abuse were documented in the West Bank, and a further two cases were identified in Gaza, where reported abuses against journalists by Hamas have been less frequent but nevertheless harsh according to Human Rights Watch.
In the case of freelance journalist Khalid Amayreh, it was noted that he has been repeatedly detained by Palestinian Authority security since reporting about torture in West Bank prisons and, in one instance, he was put in solitary confinement and forced to sleep next to a toilet.
Joe Stork, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, offered a stark assessment: Palestinian security forces are becoming notorious for assaulting and intimidating journalists who are just trying to do their jobs. Both the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza need to end these blatant attacks on free expression.
The group urged international donors to demand that the Palestinian Authority stop the practice of intimidation as a condition for receiving aid.
Security forces in the Palestinian Authority-governed West Bank immediately refuted the claims, arguing that they do not reflect a systematic policy of the Palestinian Authority against journalists.
The report stops short of accusing Palestinian leaders of ordering the crackdowns, and instead criticise the utter failure of the PA leadership to address the prevailing culture of impunity for such abuses suggests that they reflect government policy.

I agree that the Palestinian Authority is a currupt organisation. It has been clear that it behaves badly for a long time. They collaborate with the Israeli Occupation Force and do much of their dirty work for them. They constantly harras Palestinians in the West Bank and are responsible for torture.
They get huge sums of money from the US, much of which goes into the pockets of PA offcials. The EU gives money to the PA to fund fuel for Gaza's powerstations. That money does not reach Gaza. The PA keeps most of the money given for Gaza relief. The PA tries to keep control of Fatah and funds them and encourages agression against Hamas. The PA, the US and Israel try and keep Fatah and Hamas serarate. They are all terrified that the two groups will reconcile.

Hamas has asked the various militant factions within Gaza to cease firng rockets if Israel stops their agression. You have to remember that Israel has killed 5 people and injured 39 in the time that some millitants from Gaza have injured 2. Israel are also the occupying power in Palestine and shouls expect to be attacked.

From the BBC
"Last night, Hamas - which governs the Gaza Strip - met other militant factions and agreed to enforce a ceasefire if Israel also stopped firing."
Israel had a dawn raid on Gaza and is regarded to broken the ceasefire, so more rockets were fired into Israel today.

thanks for the confirmation ....... have yet to read but Gulf News headline is about continuing israeli airstrikes yesterday (saturday) ....... i'm afraid neither (gov'tal!) side has any interest in peace ..... previous poster here shows why pretty much in a nutshell and ditto from the israeli side
almost as an aside, israel is a classic is an extreme example of the disasters that can arise from AV ...... there are also several other countries in europe where AV has created a total shambles with either very weak gov't or where no coalition has been possible let alone workable at all

Irrespective of views over who is right or wrong over the military action on Gaza's bordrer, Israel is playing a dangerous game at present. Israel seems to be tending towards a full on conflict with Gaza similar to the one a couple of years ago. The Egyptian Foreign Minister has said he is angered over the attacks on Gaza. He called a number of other Arab Foreign Ministers yesterday and called an urgent meeting of other Arab diplomats last night. Five people were killed in Israeli air strikes yesterday including and old guy sitting with his family and children and about 30 were injured.
The Islamic Brotherhood group in Egypt has also got involved now and called on Arab and Muslim governments worldwide to stop Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. Anything that gets the Muslim Brotherhood involved along religious lines is not a good thing. The Muslim Brotherhood wants money and arms to be given to Palestinians.
At noon yesterday several thousand demonstrators were outside the Israeli Embassy in Cairo calling for the expulsion of the ambassador and closing the embassy. Earlier demonstrators were burning Israeli flags in Tahrir Square. The demonstrators want the Rafah border crossing completely opened and want Palestine to be top of the list of Egyptian foreign priorities.
If this violence escalates there are going to be pro Palestinian demonstrations all over the Arab world.

in a word - rubbish! ...... YOU and your nutter friends thinks the arab world is preoccupied with a few palestinians in a bit of disputed desert; they're not ..... MB is certainly a bunch of fundamentalist rabble-rousers and would love to cause trouble - anywhere ..... fortunately, they are at least currently, too splintered and disorganised to be much more than just a nuisance ..... however, it would suit shiia iran very well indeed to have the region destablised, and it is that that is causing concern

but now for something a bit more lighthearted for my golfing brothers .....
your opponent hits the ball out of the meat, but either straight right or straight left into the jungle = an Arthur Scargill - great strike; you(re) lost
your opponent hits a very weak putt = a dead sheep - still you (ewe)
finally
one of your opponents in a 4-ball hits his shot somewhere; his partner does not see it, so asks you its whereabouts - hezbollah in the bunker, you shout gleefully, hoping it is also plugged!
better still of course, is if he has carved it away into the boonies or even o/b ..... it can then become, "hezbollah dead"

The Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa said it was decided that the United Nations Arab group would ask for a meeting of the UN Security Council aimed at stopping the Israeli aggression and enforcing a no-fly zone over Gaza.
The Arab League has also asked the UN, Security Council and the Quartet to shoulder responsibilities in stopping the ongoing attack and to help protect the unarmed Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The Arab League held an emergency meeting Sunday that included its permanent delegates headed by the Sultanate of Oman and attended by the Secretary-General Amr Moussa.
The council called on the world community to take necessary measures to deter Israel from continuing the attacks and to prosecute Israeli war criminals and bring them to justice.
It also emphasized the need to end the siege and the Gaza Strip and open all border crossings to and from the region through a crossings agreement.
