THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

ExecLine, post 47880 - that is a brilliant idea, just as long as someone is left in the country to clean my car for £5 !!

carry on old chap .... i would squelch you, but it's interesting to see how much page-space you can consume like a pig rooting around in his swamp

The new advert for the Tories!

I do hope we don't have a flu epidemic in the next 3-4 weeks,

ExecLine - 17 Oct 2014 11:16 - 47895 of 81564

Here's a plug for Christmas, which is about 10 weeks away so I'm told:

doodlebug4 - 17 Oct 2014 11:40 - 47896 of 81564

Before we have a flu epidemic we evidently have Hurricane Gonzo to look forward to next week. I can just see Kay Burley on Sky News, up to her knees in water in Windsor again, with a forced smile on her face screaming, "where is the army?".

I love the muppets but I don't think the hurricane will be much fun....

oil prices
excerpt from article in FT ......

By encouraging oil prices to fall, Saudi Arabia is taking a calculated gamble in its already strained relationship with the US, hoping that the potential damage to America’s shale industry will be offset by the geopolitical and economic prizes on offer to Washington.
At a time when the US and Saudi Arabia are fighting a new war together in Iraq and Syria, the Saudis have taken the bold step of asserting their pivotal role in the oil market and subtly squeezing the finances of some of America’s fledgling shale companies.

Yet, at the same time, the falling oil price will deliver a de facto tax cut for American consumers and – if sustained – will hit both Russia and Iran at a time when Washington is trying to pressure both countries.

Carson and his friend Doodlebug who brought disruption not only to the chart thread but THIS THREAD 2 weeks ago at the weekend working in tandum again and trying to destroy threads.

Management should have jumped upon them, then sadly we know as poster Shortie as found out we have a lack of moderation on the board and rules and regulations admin here publish, but dont practice.

Fred1new - 17 Oct 2014 13:47 - 47904 of 81564

Just watched Cameron on Tv.

He looks more and more ratty, or is that rattled?

I wonder what is eating him at the moment!

goldfinger - 17 Oct 2014 13:50 - 47905 of 81564

Very interesting indeed. All kinds of permutations.........certainly gets one thinking.

cynic - 17 Oct 2014 13:52 - 47906 of 81564

of course, on the one hand saudi is helping the fight against IS, but with the other, certain cliques, the i/d of whom the local security boys must be aware, are piling the dosh to them

MaxK - 17 Oct 2014 13:55 - 47907 of 81564

But what is the ultimate aim?
