How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

It would also appear David Moyes is going to be out of a job very soon, maybe Ferguson should retire as well?

It would appear that the NE Derby is not 'in play' today, seems a bit odd, can anyone confirm?

Having a good day so far, I hope this post doesn't change that!

Not usually on the horses but had a go today and managed a modest profit with 5 wins from 5 races. 100%..... but can only go downhill from here!

Had a massive coronary as clicked on lay instead of back to rescue a dodgy trade whilst in running and made it twice as bad. Managed to recover but only just......Phew!

bakko - 26 Sep 2005 17:52 - 4803 of 10502

Steve and John,

Happy to grab a bite to eat and then onwards for a bit of fun. I can get us all into the Hard Rock casino at the Printworks so can eat in there too. At least the atmosphere will be more rockin!

Will need to meet at the Printworks in Tiger Tiger Bar at 7pm. If you're both happy with this then just OK here.

Bak

venue is fine by me but ive got to meet my wife in town (so she can have the car at 6ish). Can we meet a little earlier? John - do you want me to pick you up?

Harlosh - 26 Sep 2005 19:13 - 4805 of 10502

I believe there is a new buffet style Chinese restaurant in the Printworks called Yum Yum if you fancy that.

Steve, would be great if you could pick me up again. I'll get a lift to Chester Rd, same place as last time if you remember.

Been practising Black Jack on the new games thread and win every time so they've no chance this time. Lol.

Looking forward to it.

bakko - 26 Sep 2005 20:24 - 4806 of 10502

Steve,

Apologies for replying a little late as at a mate's house at the moment. I don't finish work till 5.30 but I'll get to Printworks as soon as I can. May be about 6.15 before I get there. I'm flexible with food so Yum Yum sounds good to me.

I'll send you my mobile number on internal mail in case you need to contact me

Fundamentalist - 26 Sep 2005 20:36 - 4807 of 10502

Bak

thanks for that - we can sort out what we eat on the night - well try to meet between 6.15 and 6.30 then.

John

bakko - 26 Sep 2005 20:40 - 4808 of 10502
