Planestation (Ex Wiggins Group plc) (PTG)

Socrates - 10 Jan 2004 10:34

Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.

So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

2.5 Million crossing trade at 5.75p

& then another 2.5 Million crossing trade at 5.75p

This share has woken up I think.

Yes apple PTG has been in the doldrums far too long. Liverpool announcement promised next month, no doubt people have been fishing around in the right areas, as we all know secrets are 'sometimes' difficult to keep. Snippets of info could be creeping onto the market. Or then again it could be that the market is at last realising the huge potential for PTG

My Brother owns shares in this company that he bought via the bank, he today received at letter from Planestation it said the following.

Plans to build a 2000 space car park and railway to the airport, interest in building an hotel on site.

Florida Melbourne airport already entered in an agreement to develop international air traffic.

Warren Buffet chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, 2nd richest man in the world reported in saying "This is the 20th century greatest long haul investment to invest for at least 5 to 10 years. Overtime only a few companies meet these standards so when one qualifies you should buy a meaningful amount of stock. You must resist the temptation to stray from your guildlines. If you are not willing to own stock for 10 years you don't even think about owning it for 10 minutes."

Other information already Known via news reports.

I will keep you informed as and when he receives more mail.

Have a good weekend everyone.

While I agree that this is a great Long Term investment.

Buffet???????????

You have got to be winding us up!

Consider this. The UK Governments predictions are that air passenger traffic will increase 4% per year for the next 30 years. In ten years thats 40% and that is without compounding.

Aircraft operators come and go, some succeed, some go bust and some just get merged with others but amid this turmoil there is one constant, airports. They are somewhat difficult to move and new ones are just not going to be built except in places where you can flatten an island or create a new one.

Since I can't see that happening in the UK, the aircraft are going to have to operate from existing airports. QED

All in all, it's what they call a no-brainer to invest long term in airports IMO.

I know, I've been in this 1 for nearly 6 months & keep topping up when it dips enough.

BUT the comment about Warren Buffet has just got to be a windup!

jj50 - 29 May 2004 21:42 - 485 of 1086

Buffet was quoted as saying the bit about holding stock for ten years but I am sure it was nothing to do with out PTG!!!! I am just pleased to see it going up.

Re: Buffet comment. Must look at both sides of the argument, specifically Buffet did not exclude PTG from his stock market comment, LOL.

Warren Buffetts comments were printed on a letter my Btother received from Planestation. I don't think he means it will take all that time for this companys share price to rise, I think he beleives it could take that long before it reaches a blue chip company but who cares it could still be worth pounds without being at the top.

Some fair sized trades today and not all buys. SP held firm: good sign!!
Any action around Manston this weekend?

On the UP again.

And again..........all retail selling being absorbed by retail and bigger buying. Looking very interesting indeed. Stakebuilding???

Fundamentalist - 02 Jun 2004 12:54 - 493 of 1086

Volume certainly appears to be stronger than of late and the spread has narrowed a little.

a bit frustrating that a presentation has been made to analysts but no strategy outlined to us "normal" shareholders. This clear strategy and confirmation of LFG would cetainly help us understand where we currently stand but the indicators do look positive.

Orson Carter - 02 Jun 2004 14:24 - 494 of 1086

Some confident market-making goin on here, with a de facto tiny spread since that latest tick on the bid. Seems they are sure of off-loading all they get, at least at 5.75p. Will they test the offer shortly?

Socrates - 02 Jun 2004 19:48 - 495 of 1086

The official freight figures just released today by the CAA show that yet again Manston has managed an increase.

Tonnage for March 2003 was 3345
Tonnage for March 2004 was 3945

Sorry folks, that is only an 18% increase, and that's without the BIP.

For those of a statistical bent, that is 127.25 tonnes per day.

Fundamentalist - 02 Jun 2004 20:42 - 496 of 1086

Thanks for the info Socrates

Socrates - 02 Jun 2004 20:53 - 497 of 1086

As an aside, whilst Manston is not currently known for it's passenger traffic, a situation that will change once EUjet get going, it did in fact handle 341 passengers in March 2004.

Softly, softly catchee monkey.

optomistic - 02 Jun 2004 22:37 - 498 of 1086

Passenger movement must be the area where the greatest potential lies, in the meantime @ 341 passengers a month, if that is typical, travellors must be enjoying a very personalised service at Manston.
EUjet is the first big step and hopefully more operators are being tempted to put their wheels down here.
