THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

HAYS read this and a,lso read the You Gove Poll today re- to minimum wage......

Pay black people £2 per hour as that’s all they’re worth? Now you get why Freud has to be sacked – SPeye Joe 16/10/2014

130927freudboilyourhead.jpg?resize=529%2The scurrilous and offensive remarks of Lord Freud over people with disabilities should have seen him sacked. Last night on BBC Question Time he was defended to the hilt in a disgraceful example of people not getting what he said, writes Joe Halewood in his SPeye Joe blog.

The simplest way to GET what he said is to subititute “black” for “disabled” and THEN you get it so below I have simple cut and pasted my blog from Wednesday with that change

It reads:

Lord Freud, said by many to be the architect of the bedroom tax and some wider welfare reform policies has been recorded saying black people are NOT WORTH THE MINIMUM WAGE of £6.50 per hour and should be paid £2 PER HOUR FOR THE WORK THEY DO.

Read the rest on SPeye Joe.

The view of this blog is that last night’s Question Time was an hour-long parade of senility and stupidity. You can work out for yourself who among the guests, chairman and audience displayed the symptoms of either condition.

Haystack, you are obviously off filter as gf is expecting a reply.

I think Baby Oleg has Ebola as he keeps sneezing on the compare the markets ads. It's all Sergei's fault for taking him to Africa to discover his roots.

Fred1new - 17 Oct 2014 20:36 - 47946 of 81564

Max.

Be careful with the Kleenex.

DB4 will probably expect you to wash it, iron and package it before you return it to him.

Anyway they are probably already used.

PAY EVERYONE THE SAME MINIMUM WAGE, SAY VOTERS
by William Jordan in Front Page and Politics
Fri October 17, 2014 10:05 a.m. BST You Gov

Most people reject the idea that different levels of minimum wage should be paid to different groups, including people with and without disabilities

Welfare minister Lord Freud has stirred cross-party outrage with comments suggesting that people with disabilities may not be “worth” the full minimum wage. On Wednesday the Conservative peer apologised, calling the remarks “foolish and stupid”.

YouGov’s latest polling for the Times Red Box delves into the question of whether the same minimum wage ought to apply to different groups, and finds few voters prepared to pay any of them at different levels.

In the case of people with disabilities, four in five (79%) reject the idea of setting a different minimum wage to people without them, while only 12% support it. Similarly, 80% are against and 12% in favour of paying people above and below the retirement age differently, and voters are almost uniformly opposed to varying the minimum wage according to gender (91-3%).

MinumumWages.png

There is little variation in the opinions of Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat or UKIP voters on these three groups.

Around three in ten do think it is appropriate to pay people above and below the age of 21 or people living in areas with higher and lower living costs at different levels, but twice as many think it shouldn’t be done even for these groups.

Currently the minimum wage is £6.50 per hour.

Lord Freud’s comments were made at a fringe meeting at the Conservative party conference. He had been addressing the question posed by a Conservative councillor of how to deal with cases of people with disabilities who want to work, but “can’t find people who are willing to pay [them] the minimum wage.”

I have gf on filter for some time now, so I am blissfully unaware of his expectations. I doubt that his request for a reply is is based upon anything sensible.

doodlebug4 - 17 Oct 2014 20:44 - 47949 of 81564

It gets boring on here sometimes, I do my best to lighten things up but it seems to sail over some heads. At least you seem to have a sense of humour Fred, as does Max and Haystack and Hilary and ExecLine - have I missed anyone out?

goldfinger - 17 Oct 2014 20:46 - 47950 of 81564

Fred no doubt doodlebug(filtered) is trying his usual trick of trying to get everyone on side, Ive seen it so many times before and seen just what a pompous ignorant weak personality he is.

But for anyone with doubts Ill just post up earlier what other posters are saying about his multi handles across various boards and he didnt even deny the post by Dan Levi.......

Exposed! The Multi-millionaire. Super-Injunction? SEE YOU IN COURT!
by Brokerman

Exposed Christopher Holden lives in Bury Greater Manchester.
Welcome to the sick world of Bury Grammar school educated Christopher Holden the 38-year-old North of England based Multi-Millionaire professional Trader who has over a considerable period of time posted disgraceful, abusive comments & sent abusive emails using a myriad of fake, false identities. One of Holden's wheezes is to sign up the site admin for sexually explicit material. I'll just go through some of the known false emails and chat identities, (there's just too many to list so I'll write a dozen or so). Holden has over 10 false accounts on ADVFN with screen names such as "ralph moat,Junior topinfo, smellyjim, perthglory, Rob74son, bornos47, 1drtli, hectorpl2 & one which says it all about this online creep "bellend2" The creep has had a multitude of fake accounts on Interactive Investor, "Manic Miner" being just one of them & London South East "goinglikearocket" where he conducts his ramping or bashing operations depending on which position he has taken on a stock.
We managed to track, trace & monitor his activities over a considerable period of time helped enormously by the Nina Logan's Facebook account which links directly to many of his family & friends indeed there's even a picture of him on his wife's Facebook account.
One identity which led to the unmasking was that of Nina Logans who contacted the site admin last year pretending to be an irate female. (What a sicko pretending to be a female). Holden had set himself up as a female trader with fake google email account and FINANCIAL CHAT SITE IDENTITIES et al! (ninalogans@google.com) various other email accounts were used, with different slants on the purported sex, ie female evaarmstrong,evaarmstrong444, ninalogans12, ninalogans123, christianholden2000@yahoo.co.uk Holden has also used BT Email accounts and sends his abuse out via A BTINTERNET IP.
Now with this type of whacko you can bet that his abuse of our site is the tip of an iceberg. If you check his BTINTERNET ACCOUNTS & history just what would one find? The loonertick is a serial online nutcase who should be banned from the internet. Yesterday morning he was operating on ADVFN'S Xcite energy Board when a link to the up-coming article was posted Multi-millionaire to be exposed online in 24 Hours!. Holden then disappeared for over 4 hours to enlist the services of a solicitor (Aughton Ainsworth INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM FurnessHouse FurnessQuays Salford Quays Manchester M50 3XZ) who contacted the site admin threatening a Super-Injunction. We responded to them & passed it to our legal representative. Holden's solicitor states that his client apologised for the comments in Feb 2011 & has not visited the site since which is a complete & utter lie. A quick check of his isp service provider history & logs will reveal the tissue of lies that Holden now seeks to maintain in an effort to deflect away from his nefarious online activities.
Holden is nothing more than the sum of his parts, A NASTY, DEVIOUS CHARACTER who has now been exposed online for all to see. As for his solicitor & threats of Super-Injunctions I say this to you directly; BRING IT ON!
Viva!

Dan!

goldfinger - 17 Oct 2014 21:01 - 47954 of 81564

NO ANSWER, speaks a lot about this sorry weak individual attention seeker.

Seems to me you require urgent psychological help and very quickly.

Goodnight and sleep well if you can.

doodlebug4 - 17 Oct 2014 21:12 - 47955 of 81564

Haystack, if you can be bothered since you have gf on filter and I'm not interested in what he says - and this is a serious question btw - please explain to me why Cameron is pumping so much money into Sierra Leone? I really cannot figure out if it's an attempt to divert attention from the problems at home, or if he just likes being perceived as a big player on the world stage. As a Conservative supporter I must admit I'm at a bit of a loss with this.

MaxK - 17 Oct 2014 21:17 - 47956 of 81564

Scraping the barrel a bit Haystack, and you failed to mention that your bloke came third...and the Dim/Libs didnt even bother.

The Ebola crisis is very serious. The UN said three days ago that we have 60 days to get it under control, based on the current rate of spread. The UN said yesterday that it was surprised by the lack of international effort being deployed in West Africa. The World Heath Organisation said yesterday that it had handled the situation badly and made serious mistakes. The health services in the Ebola areas are almost non existent and the spread of the disease is pretty much guaranteed. There has to be major work now to improve the infrastructure.

goldfinger - 17 Oct 2014 21:21 - 47958 of 81564

Max the bottom of the barrel is all Hays as left to clutch at, lets face it a poster who lines himself up with the DISGRACED POSTER DOOODLEBUG4, as got to be desperate, very desperate.

goldfinger - 17 Oct 2014 21:24 - 47959 of 81564

Well im suprised by that answer from Hays given his newly acquired Friend Doodlebug says the whole Ebola incident is well over cooked and is just scaremongering.

Mind having said that his neck is on the line having all his equity capital in the airline Flybe.

Haystack - 17 Oct 2014 21:28 - 47960 of 81564

The estimate is about 9,000 cases of Ebola so far but there is probably major under reporting. The rate of increase is so great that by end of next month we could see 5,000 to 10,000 new cases a week. You can see where those figures are going. If it is not stopped then the disease could become endemic in West Africa. The Ebola situation is part of the reason for the nervousness in the markets. Ebola will be here soon.

I am all for spending even more to fight Ebola

MaxK - 17 Oct 2014 21:29 - 47961 of 81564

Dunno about that gf, db4 seems a nice enough bloke, certainly done me no harm.

Speak as you find imo.

MaxK - 17 Oct 2014 21:30 - 47962 of 81564

How are you going to spend more on ebola effectively?

doodlebug4 - 17 Oct 2014 21:32 - 47963 of 81564

OK Haystack, the next question is why does this country always have to be the first in line when it comes to dishing out money in foreign aid and especially when our NHS is badly in need of funding? It surely cannot be great PR for the Conservatives, apart from anything else.
