A new non-java Trades page has been launched

George (ex MoneyAM) - 04 Mar 2014 15:46

Hi Everyone,

To complement the new html stockwatch, we've just released a new version of the Trades page which provides a non-Java version of streaming. In addition there is a tidier layout and some more information on the page than before. For people having problems with the new version, there is still the option to choose the Java Streaming version on that page.

Please provide feedback of bugs etc.

Thanks
George

is the mini 1yr chart a no go along side your indicator george?

George (ex MoneyAM) - 06 Mar 2014 14:38 - 49 of 98

I don't think we can fit it inside the info panel above the trades because the space gets used up if a stock has very large numbers. However, potentially it could go in the side panel. I was thinking of adding a list of top 10 stocks trading above their monthly average volumes on the right. Maybe broker views could be removed.

From my point of view, i would find it useful to have a quick view of past performance when looking at a new share to me, thats all everything else is great.,.

George (ex MoneyAM) - 06 Mar 2014 14:50 - 51 of 98

I think these things are available on the Shareprice page, but I'll see if we can fit a chart widget to this page.

Apart from everything nice a clear on the new system it also looks very professional.

Balerboy - 06 Mar 2014 16:44 - 53 of 98

Thank you george.,.

Thanks. I'm really pleased with the new page and am sure it will continue to improve. It looks so much nicer than the old version. Also, it works on any modern browser, unlike Java streaming. So you can use it on a phone or tablet too.

Your Volume weighted average price is suspect ,look at QPP this morning the vwap is 38p yet the stock has not touched 38 once ,why is that ??

George (ex MoneyAM) - 07 Mar 2014 08:37 - 56 of 98

Jimmy, this is an official VWAP figure provided directly by the data supplier. We can pass your query on if you think it is wrong. It's the same data that we have always provided on the level 2 page.

jimmy b - 07 Mar 2014 10:51 - 57 of 98

I hate to nit pick George it's just that i noticed that this morning as i looked at QPP trades

midknight - 07 Mar 2014 11:52 - 58 of 98

George, the brokers' updates on the Trades pages
are up-to-date and an excellent addition.

jimmy b - 07 Mar 2014 12:18 - 59 of 98

Yes they are midknight a very good addition .

George what happened to the unknown trades total alongside the buys and sells ?

George (ex MoneyAM) - 07 Mar 2014 12:53 - 60 of 98

Jimmy, the feed documentation states the VWAP as the following:

Volume-weighted average price, as reported by LSE.
Includes these trade types:
Ordinary trade
Automatic trade
Uncrossing trade
Ordinary trade with Delayed publication
Negotiated trade
Negotiated trade with delayed publication
Closing price crossing trade

George (ex MoneyAM) - 07 Mar 2014 12:56 - 61 of 98

Unknown trades are now just summarised at the top to allow more space for a clearer view of the remaining data.

jimmy b - 07 Mar 2014 13:04 - 62 of 98

Yes George i didn't think of that "delayed trade " . Thanks .

I'm not sure I like the chosen shades of Red and Blue in the 'Qty' and 'B/S' columns in the picture to the RHS.

They are not blatantly easy to identify and it takes me a short second to acclimatise my eyes to them. Or is it the background?

(Sorry about the double picture of the gif)

George (ex MoneyAM) - 07 Mar 2014 13:46 - 64 of 98

Yes, the colour shades are less bright than on the previous version. They are now in line with the colours used on the Shareprice page. As pages are updated we will try to use a standard scheme. Stockwatch colours will also go this way at some point.

Is it just me or does the price feed ALWAYS freeze when US payrolls are released.....?

dell314 - 11 Mar 2014 08:58 - 66 of 98

As you're improving the trades page, is there any chance we could have the actual trade prices given, rather than rounding to decimal places? This applies to stockwatch too.

Mo06 - 11 Mar 2014 09:14 - 67 of 98

One thing - the red/blue meter does not update unless I click on the GO button.
