UKOG : British OIL (UKOG)

required field - 09 Apr 2015 09:25

Rocketing this morning on a superb upgrade !...

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=UKOG&S

required field - 10 Apr 2015 08:53 - 48 of 541

When I have some time I'll do some research...but I'm no good on rushing things....

required field - 10 Apr 2015 08:56 - 49 of 541

(Don't be in a queue behind me at a supermarket.....)...only joking.....(;))

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:06 - 50 of 541

Those that jumped in early will be at a loss......very volatile you have to say....

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:14 - 51 of 541

I cannot believe that anybody would sell now.....why ?.....most people have only just been able to get in around this price...

HARRYCAT - 10 Apr 2015 09:19 - 52 of 541

'Cos people are trading it. When the volatility settles they will move on.
Might be worth buying £1k worth and putting them in the bottom drawer. If I was to buy in a dealing account I would trade them. Far too many unknowns to invest heavily.......yet, imo.

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:21 - 53 of 541

I nearly sold on opening...but would have bought back by now....wished I'd done it now...

jimmy b - 10 Apr 2015 09:21 - 54 of 541

The spreads quite wide as well rf .

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:28 - 55 of 541

It's risky Jimmy.....imagine what the sp is going to be like when appraisal and flow testing will be running.....I bet the sp will be three times today's value...

mitzy - 10 Apr 2015 09:31 - 56 of 541

Its risky but could be a Wytch farm type of stock.

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:34 - 57 of 541

That's now owned by BP if I'm correct ......seem to be oil puddles all over south east England.....not many big ones like Wytch,,,so this is quite a discovery if the huge amount of oil is confirmed.....

mitzy - 10 Apr 2015 09:35 - 58 of 541

Yep they had 500 mbo of recoverable oil BP sold to Parenco .

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:37 - 59 of 541

Ah....changed hands....we probably need another rns to trigger a further rise but 3p seems a base now...

cynic - 10 Apr 2015 09:39 - 60 of 541

as posted yesterday .....

ExecLine
UK oil producers are celebrating what they are calling the biggest onshore oil discovery in the last 30 years in the land near Gatwick Airport.

An exploration firm (UKOG) has confirmed the land under Horse Hill near Gatwick could contain 158 million barrels of oil per square mile – up to 100 billion barrels in total. The firm is hoping it could meet between 10 per cent and 30 per cent of UK demand for oil by 2030.

cynic replies
except that (a) they don't yet have a licence to drill, (b) do they even have the money to drill in the event that they ever a licence (months and months away, if not 1/2/3 years in any case), (c) the notional reserve is nowhere near proven, (d) even the company admits that only between 3 and 15% of any reserves are likely to prove recoverable

tread carefully and good luck to any who have put money on the table

required field - 10 Apr 2015 09:45 - 61 of 541

Appraisal needed....but when that comes...the sp will be way higher before results....

required field - 10 Apr 2015 10:04 - 62 of 541

I bet a fund raising exercise is in the pipeline.....won't do the sp any harm...

required field - 10 Apr 2015 10:40 - 63 of 541

This is more volatile than inflammable cowpat.......

HARRYCAT - 10 Apr 2015 10:43 - 64 of 541

You're getting too excited rf! Deep breaths and less coffee! ;o)

required field - 10 Apr 2015 10:45 - 65 of 541

I could do with another cuppa....

HARRYCAT - 10 Apr 2015 10:46 - 66 of 541

Are you trading this or holding?

required field - 10 Apr 2015 10:48 - 67 of 541

Just holding but like I said before ....wished I sold on opening and bought back a bit later....but am staying put....might add a small amount...
