Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.
Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.
Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).
Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.
The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.
People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

SUPERSCAPE meeting with management
Following the results last week, we met with management of Superscape, the mobile gaming technology and content business, to discuss prospects for the coming year. Key highlights below:-
The business model has evolved from technology company to technology-led entertainment company. What does this mean? By securing relationships with the major mobile handset manufacturers last year, the company is now pushing hard to secure high quality branded content from the major film, entertainment and sports organizations and will earn the bulk of its revenue from downloads of content.
Handsets, complete with Swerve 3D engine installed, are ready to be rolled out into the market place from late May with European launches in the late summer.
The group has indicated in its press release that they expect 10 million such Swerve enabled handsets to be in the market by January 2005 (this appears conservative based upon production schedules) but the key will be whether that number is mass market within a further a twelve months i.e. nearer 100 million by that time.
First handsets are now on demonstration including the E680 from Motorola which, with 3D games running, look stunning. We understand demand is encouraging from the networks to have these phones running. Importantly, there does appear to be a desire to see these phones down at an attractive pricing point for the consumer.
The company has secured some attractive titles for launch within its library of 3D games. These games will be distributed either by embedding directly on the phone or being made available by Over the Air download. Swerve tools and the 3D engine allow for a game file size to be compressed to ensure a swift download onto the phone.
This week, the group announced that it has secured the rights for the Van Helsing film which is due for launch in the US in a week or twos time. A 3D game will be available and significant marketing budgets are being provided to launch the mobile gaming version. We would expect Superscape to derive revenues from this title in a number of ways including Over the Air downloads and embedding on selective handsets.
They would expect to be able to announce a significant number of new deals in the content area in the next six months which will cement its market leading position with library content.
They also expect to be announcing numerous deals with the network operators such as Vodafone in the coming weeks as they seek to drive the content component of the revenue stream. Gaming is expected to be a key driver.
The market has had difficulty in providing a valuation for Superscape as the business is still at the pre-revenue stage. Forecasts are naturally being kept conservative and this includes the timing of revenue lift-off and what impact this has on cash burn and cash resources. The company believes it is fully funded and that the move to cash flow positive will be during the second half of 2005.
Overheads of the business are around 8 million of which the only rising component is Research and Development of around 3 million. We expect tight control on these costs. The forecast for the current year is for revenue of 4.5 million of which 800,000 is already secured due to deferred revenue carried forward from the previous year.
The model is still high-risk, of course, but no one can dispute that the management has positioned this company well to benefit from the interest in mobile gaming. The agreements in place provide the endorsement for the technology. The shares are beginning to rise as the company moves towards revenue growth and one can begin to ascertain how successful the model will be. We remain buyers for high risk investors.

company's Swerve-based games to the mass consumer market.
The games will become available during the next three months and will run on
mass market handsets from leading manufacturers. Details of the titles will

available through the company's partnerships with leading global entertainments

Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: "I am very pleased to announce
this important contract win which will, for the first time, open up mass market

leading global network operators and I am confident we will be making further
announcements of this nature over the course of the next few months."
Under the terms of the contract with this network operator, Superscape will
enjoy the majority of the revenue-sharing royalties based on consumer demand for
the titles.
Roberts commented: "Reaction to our Swerve-developed portfolio of games has
been very encouraging from leading global operators and major handset
manufacturers, including Siemens, Motorola and Samsung all of whom are embedding
Swerve games on their handsets.
"Superscape's 'four corners strategy' is really starting to pay off as our hard

hlyeo98, that was good timing eh! There's loads going on now and the news flow will now be relentless. IC will probably call them a sell tomorrow morning but they did say buy antisoma a couple of weeks ago and they generally talk cr*p. Do the maths, look at the killick note above and combine with the revenues per game. 10 million phones by January and that's conservative, each with a minimum of 1 game, chip royalties, development royalties etc and then look at the estimate for mass market penetration of 100 million swerved phones, this is what will sell 3G. american distributor, Nokia and Vodafone on the way, Killick know that for sure. IC wil say this company is not worth 40m, I agree, it could be worth many multiples, bag some now as they could be about to rcokect and hold for a couple of years, then give up the day job!!!!!

dusman,
Lots of talk about SPS being profitable next year. This would be a major turnaround from where we are now and is probably the reason why funds are buying in at present.
People never thought mobile phones or text messages would ever take off.If you can play all your gameboy games on a mobile then why have a gameboy !!
The future is bright ------ the future is Superscape.
Adding tomorrow !

It looks like things are starting to move, a 14% increase in the price today. It looks like the tips given at the start of the year are starting to bear fruition.
All the positive news and more to come the only thing that remains is for the Directors to start buying more shares. Then the City has to start taking note and realising the potential.
I think the run upto Christmas could be a big shot in the arm for shares as 3G starts to come into the market.
This share could be the next big thing in the tech market I'm glad I'm in now!

Another Content Deal
Superscape and Vir2L secure exclusive worldwide rights to co-publish new 3D AMF Xtreme Bowling Game for Mobile Phones
April 30, 2004
Back to press room
Note: pictures available from Maggie Templeman (mtempleman@superscape.com)
Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS) and Vir2L Studios, a ZeniMax Media company, have announced an exclusive worldwide co-publishing deal to create and market a 3D bowling game for mobile phones based on the world-renowned AMF Bowling brand. The new wireless game, which will be available in June, will be designed to run on Superscape Swerve-enabled Java and BREW-based mobile phones and will be marketed to mobile phone manufacturers and network operators.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: I am delighted that Superscape will be working with Vir2L Studios to develop a 3D version of AMFs Xtreme Bowling for mobile phones. Bringing together a well-known brand, challenging and addictive game play and the power of our Swerve technology is an extremely commanding combination and a great recipe for a successful mobile game.
We chose Superscape and their Swerve technology as the means of bringing the first 3D version of AMF Xtreme Bowling to mobile phones for a number of reasons said Douglas Frederick, president of Vir2L Studios. Using Swerve ensures that the game will be available for and can be delivered over-the-air (OTA) for instant entertainment on the move to the largest possible worldwide audience.
We think this game is a great way for AMF to extend the reach of our brand both inside and outside the bowling industry, said Ron Wood, General Manger of AMF Consumer Products. It is especially exciting to work with leading technologies like those provided through our relationship with Vir2L Studios and their partnership with Superscape.
Based on this leading bowling brand, AMF Xtreme Bowling Wireless will allow players to compete in a variety of venues ranging from the classic wood lanes to the neon flashing Xtreme lanes that are available around the world at AMF bowling emporiums. Players will compete to get the highest score against friends or the AI (artificial intelligence) players. The game will appeal to a wide audience with the different skills levels.

Superscape - Distribution Agreement
Superscape announced late yesterday that it has a signed a revenue sharing royalty distribution agreement for the company's 3D mobile games titles with a leading US network operator. This is the first distribution contract for Superscape with a network operator and a key element in the process of bringing the company's Swerve-based games to the mass consumer market. The games will become available during the next three months and will run on mass market handsets from leading manufacturers.
The market has responded strongly to this announcement for a couple of reasons. Firstly, CEO Kevin Roberts highlighted the fact that they are in advanced negotiations with other leading operators with further announcements due. Secondly, although no numbers were quoted, the company did say that Superscape will enjoy the majority of the revenue sharing royalties based upon consumer demand for the titles.

Good support at this level, SPS has previously had weak support but given the news flow, support is not surprising. Nice to see IC eat humble pie, they got SPS totally wrong and I guess some sold at low levels as a result of shorting due to their article, they should be more accountable and act responsibly. I would like them or shares to publish a detailed article listing best and worse case scenarios, the trouble with SPS is assigning a value to the company as nobody knows how big it could be, come on shares, do your stuff!

ehall valid post and one thing that you will notice is that the IC articles have not been researched fully and that the author really does not have a clue about the technology or market potential.
