Only joking , i have a big 6 cylinder diesel car that is a bit thirsty ,and i live on the south coast..

I Know , bio fuel is just a hobby, I use 45 lt a week that costs about 5.5 (before tax) rather than 45 at the pump. BFC has the right idea as in a few years all UK diesel will have a Bio content reguardless of what the petro industry wants.
At present the best place to sell Bio fuel is to Local goverment as they have carbon targets to meet. When carbon credits come in for industry then large users will switch. If I had the money I would build a large Bio production unit for wvo (waste veg oil) as this is carbon rated zero as the carbon credit will be used in its primery useage (cooking) then the carbon credits will be large and tradeable.

How can carbon credits be ascribed to cooking oil when it is only being heated and not burnt? The gas that fires the cooker that heats the oil (that fries the chips that fees the rat that sat in the house that Jack built) has an attaching carbon credit/useage, but not the cooking oil, surely?

Is there a carbon useage ascribed to any bio-diesel fuel? or is it deemed carbon free?

i think that the carbon credits come into play, when the use of biodiesel reduces existing gases and whatnot into the environment that come from conventional diesels etcetc......so it is the amount of bad stuff that is taken out of the system by using biodiesel, that provides the metrics for carbon credits - although this is my own personal understanding......

All Bio fuel is carbon nutral, when the crop is growing be it palm or oil seed rape the farmer inputs carbon into the cycle, the diesel he uses in the tractors ,fertiliser etc. This is the negative ballance that is used in its prime use . For example the crisp maker takes the hit on carbon when he uses 5 tons of oil. The oil is still carbon nutral, burning makes no diffrence as the carbon was taken from the atmosphere to make the oil in the first place.

I've bought in early as I'm sure this will be a huge market and CLE owns 50% of the carbon exchange market in Germany rather like the London stock exchange to me also they have large investments in BFC and other similar shares. cheers MP

AGC ,They were a feature in scsw a couple of months ago moneyplus , it will be interesting to see what happens to BFC this week ..

from other bb's, have seen that there is talk of an egm on 19sept- although haven't come across an rns for that one....and the speculation is that it would be to get approval to raise more money.......but the unknown factor is; whether it is for going straight into building another plant, or to cover their hedging whilst they get thru the delays of the current plant's commissioning - all is pure speculation...

Should announce plant open for production at AGM. They won't risk a heavy dry-cleaning bill by announcing it hasn't started yet from the platform. So if it hasn't they'll have to announce that on an RNS first IMHO.

Raising money for the second plant is favourite, since they have enough money to get the first one up and doing even if delayed another month (God forbid!)

There is no news from BFC at the moment because hopefully there is nothing to report since their last statement , that being that the plant will be finished by the end of September. now if there is a delay i think they should have told us by now,, and if not i expect the sp to go back up .This is quite miserable.........

Surely if there is a delay they would have to report it as soon as they know? I hope the share price doesn't deteriorate any more before the 19th, but I can't see it going up until we have more news. As far as I can see a delay has now been factored in, however if they do announce one it is bound to drop much further as the market over reacts, so we'd better hope the next news is good, if so it should rise rapidly. I am still happy to hold, and will do until we've heard something from the company, this has only dropped on unsubsantiated rumours and people being very wary of BFC after the last big fall.

In last weeks Share mag, the 'diary' page suggested an AGM on Wed 7th Sept, it appears that this must have been a misprint ???

There has been alot of debate on ADVFN about the 7th and the 19th, but it seems the 19th is the correct date and it is not an AGM, but a meeting to update shareholders on the plants progress.

Sudden dose of rocket fuel?

Any reason for the sudden rise? - other than the fall being completely overdone and for no reason anyway. Is it shorters getting out fast?

Don't know , there is lots of speculation on other BB's ,,but as you say Frampton overdone , i still have complete confidence in this one ...
