News you've all been waiting for ...

Meridian Petroleum PLC
04 April 2006

MERIDIAN PETROLEUM PLC
('Meridian' or 'the Company')

VICTORY 1-21 SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

Meridian, the oil & gas exploration and production company with key assets in
the USA and Australia today announced that the Victory 1-21 production well (10%
WI) has been successfully deepened in order to further penetrate a Niagaran
reef.

Using a coiled tubing unit and conventional work over rig, Total Depth was
reached at 4,394 feet and gas communication was made between 4,161 feet and
4,192 feet, an increase of approximately 31 feet in net pay. The well was
treated with acid to stimulate flow and is currently being swabbed to remove
remaining acid from the well bore following which the well will be put back on
line this week. It is anticipated that enhanced production rates will be gained
from the additional pay sections in the reservoir.

Anthony Mason, Chief Executive of Meridian said:

'The successful deepening of Victory 1-21 is good news for Meridian. The well
will be back on line this week, following which Meridian will resume receiving
income from Victory 1-21. We are now looking forward to the imminent completion
on Calvin 36.'

Don Caldwell, a certified petroleum geologist, is the Company's Qualified Person
and has reviewed the information in this announcement.

How is this made up?
Is it 108mmcf * $9 = $972k *75% = $731k
What is the value of the natural gas liquids 55bbls/day*29 *$?? *75% = $??
Does anyone know what monthly expenditure is currently?
Many thanks.

Tau Ceti - 04 Mar 2008 15:42 - 481 of 741

108mmcf * $9 = $972,000 * 75% = $729,000
55 bbl condensate * $65 * 29 * 75% = $77,750

Total = $806,750.

chav - 05 Mar 2008 09:44 - 482 of 741

Around $918,000 for gas in February, plus of course liquids at 55bls a day for even 28 days gives 1540 boe, at what $60=$92,400+approx. $918,000 still makes it $1m a month gross.

W1zzard - 08 Mar 2008 09:25 - 483 of 741

monthly expenditure is about $250k $3 million a year roughly with orion leasing costs

108 mmcf @ month $9 $972k $731k
1600 bbls @ $55 $96k $ 73k

$ 9.6 million - $ 3 ex nett $ 6-7 million roughly

Are we talking marriage now

scotinvestor - 09 Apr 2008 15:22 - 490 of 741

does anyone do that in the western world these days?

certainly being a man with a bit of cash behind him, no guy in their right mind would marry.....just ask paul mccartney.
getting married in uk is about worst thing to do....if u do get married, do it elsewhere.....even in oz, if u separate then its only the wealth since you GOT married that counts.....NOT all your wealth in whole of lifetime like dopey uk.....oh yeah, the woman gets half your pension too....another great idea by blair

talking of which....where is the warmonger?

required field - 09 Apr 2008 18:10 - 491 of 741

Blimey ! guys ...this has shot up...now that I'm not in.....something cooking possibly ?

hlyeo98 - 09 Apr 2008 19:37 - 492 of 741

Get in then

mitzy - 09 Apr 2008 19:41 - 493 of 741

Well done you guys for holding these I'm long Rift at the mom.

maggiebt4 - 09 Apr 2008 21:48 - 494 of 741

Scotinvestor, woman only gets half your wealth/pension if she's none of her own. In fact if she earns more/has more/has larger pension, than you, she will end up paying you. My understanding of PMcC was he was paying for the upkeep of his daughter + the earnings she claims she could have made had he allowed her to work. Just make sure you marry a woman with money & a large pension pot and the law will work for you too, oh and don't have children.
:o)

scotinvestor - 09 Apr 2008 22:08 - 495 of 741

well in all 13 companies that i've worked for, i would imagine at least 90% of office of major companies that i worked for to be men.....just admin staff etc that may be women......so unless these women have rich daddies, i cant see them having even half the wealth i have.

i've yet to meet a wealthy woman.

maggiebt4 - 09 Apr 2008 23:11 - 496 of 741

I don't know too many wealthy men either we mustn't move in the right circles. You'll just have to stay single!!!! Now if MRP comes up with the goods I'll be wealthier but not wealthy!

scotinvestor - 10 Apr 2008 01:06 - 497 of 741

good luck maggie especially on a small share as a lot hhave been hammered lately as i can testify personally.

never mind, if u make a fortune, 18% goes to darling and ultimately fat boy brown.

what does darling do in life? apart from dither for 5 months on NRK, what else does he do? any guesses

maggiebt4 - 10 Apr 2008 08:46 - 498 of 741

You too Scotinvestor Darling - claims expenses without receipts & robs the poor by removing the 10% tax band!!! They're all little gems!

scotinvestor - 10 Apr 2008 09:22 - 499 of 741

its called "PRUDENCE" by labour government......just like selling OUR gold at lowest prices in 30 years......another great call by brown

brown has even admitted that mathematics wasnt his strong point at school.....duh
