The minutes of the recent MPC committee of the BoE say, "that was insufficient evidence of inflationary pressures to raise interest rates". MPC members voted 7-2 to keep interest rates at 0.5%.

Keeping pay rates low is a large part of the secret to keeping inflation low at present.

Bunkum. Inflation under RPI is storming away as it includes Housing costs.

The governments prefered measure CPI is artificialy low because of the quality of jobs in the UK Economy ie, nothing more than labourers, modern slaves.

Thats why the government cant cut the deficit because the tax take(inflow) is so low and at the same time benefits(outflow) are increasing eg, housing benefit and tax credits.

What are the apprenticed paid?

What are the chances of employment after the apprenticeship jobs?

Is it another form of cheap labour, which in 50-80s it was considered by some employers to be. Hence the loss of interest by employers?

Isn't this another attempt by Cameron and cronies to distort unemployment figures?

All Cameron's done on the employment front is move people from one sector to another so it appears that he's saved money in one sector (public) and got people back to work in the other (private)....

Jean-Claude Juncker issues migrant threat to Cameron

Jean-Claude Juncker has issued a direct threat to David Cameron and said he is "not willing to compromise" on the issue of the freedom of movement of migrants within the European Union.


The new President of the European Commission accused the Prime Minister of attempting to “destroy” the rules that allow EU immigrants to live and work anywhere in the bloc.


It will come as a major blow to Mr Cameron, who wants to reform Britain’s relationship with Brussels ahead of an in-out referendum he has said he will hold in 2017.


Mr Juncker said: "I am not prepared to change [freedom of movement]. If we are destroying the freedom of movement other freedoms will fall. I am not willing to compromise."
