Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Mighty M!
When I first go in I have to type in full name & password despite the fact this should already have been saved
Can't be bothered & go straight to BB
Then have to login again with autoname & remembered no
Rejects this as not recognised & then type in name & number-BINGO

Big Al-Are you honestly telling me the colours here are as good as those on ADVFN-call them what you will! No I'm not colour blind but they still don't "Speak" to me. If you look at basic microsoft colours it's not sheer coincidence that the basic setup is in the same shades
Maybe we should put it to the vote?:--)!

Sonofagun: many thanks, I'll make sure the right people look at your problem.

MM-hope your'e on doubletime & thanks:)
That's what I like about "M'am"-someone's listening

Sonofagun: Could you let us know your OS, browser and version. What are the security settings in your browser? Also, are you seeing the toggle in the new login page?

Thanks for your patience.

Andy- I use XP & Int Explorer version 6- Settings are customized not default
Haven't a clue what you mean by toggle! It is now remembering name & password but when I press Login I get sent straight to 500 Servelet Exception!
I then go back & press BB's & I get in:)

Sue 42 - 15 Jan 2003 14:34 - 489 of 7315

I have a problem logging in. I am Sue 42 on here (Sue42 on The dark side)- but when I try & log on, I am prompted with Sue and the password each time, not Sue 42.

Is this a known bug?

ipenning - 15 Jan 2003 16:30 - 490 of 7315

Sue 42 - If you enter your username and password correctly, click the 'Save username/password' checkbox, and click login, your settings should be saved for next time. It's possible that your username is being filled in incorrectly by the browser. Let me know how you get on.

regards
Ian Penning

MightyMicro - 15 Jan 2003 16:38 - 491 of 7315

Sue: don't you mean that you *were* Sue42 over the road?

Not aware of a problem with this, we'll have a look. I assume you mean that it accepts your login as Sue, but displays your nickname as Sue 42?

Cheers

Derek (IST and MoneyAM)

Exotoxin - 15 Jan 2003 16:51 - 492 of 7315

Derek is your System Clock Time running 3 or 4 mins slow?

Sue 42 - 15 Jan 2003 17:01 - 493 of 7315

MM - ha ha - yes I was - I still am - I just can't access the BB's........ as sue42.

ipenning - yes I have done that but every time it cones back with Sue & no 42 after it. It keeps the password though!

ipenning - 15 Jan 2003 17:18 - 494 of 7315

Sue - yep, you're absolutely right - it only remembers the username up to the space! I'll check it out. Thanks for the feedback.

MightyMicro - 15 Jan 2003 17:28 - 495 of 7315

Exotoxin: I'll ask the ops folks about the clock . . .

Seymour Clearly - 15 Jan 2003 18:05 - 496 of 7315

I have the same prob as Sue, I am remembered as Seymour, the Clearly never displays, so I have to type it in each time. Now I could change to SeymourClearly or plain old Seymour, but I'd like to remain as I am please!

ipenning - 15 Jan 2003 18:24 - 497 of 7315

I've fixed the problem with spaces in usernames - you will see it in the next release. It was all my fault, sorry...

Bullshare - 16 Jan 2003 10:38 - 498 of 7315

New version of Stockwatch just gone in . Thanks to Kayak for colours. Blame him if you don't like them:-)

Now we need to sort out which columns are bold and which are not. Over to you all.

MightyMicro,

*puts Operations hat on*

NTP is now running on an hourly basis and syncing to three atomic clocks.

*puts Systems Admin hat back on*

Sue 42 - 16 Jan 2003 13:22 - 500 of 7315

ipenning - I was actually Sue42 (no space ... over there) - so I don't mind if you either change my handle - or fix the bug!!

MightyMicro - 16 Jan 2003 13:46 - 501 of 7315

tullettj:

Three atomic clocks -- that's more neutrons than Saddam's got in his weapons programme.

BrianTrayda - 16 Jan 2003 13:51 - 502 of 7315

What weapons programme?
