Morning all - just back from a little R&R in Prague to find over 500 posts on this thread - so have religiously read them all to find very little except that the sp went up a bit - then down a bit - then down a bit more and an awful lot of bickering.

WEhat happened to the SEO thread of all when everyone was proactively putting forward their constructive views (Good & bad) rather than all this back biting and bitching.

I am SEO for the lomg term - I understand the risks, I understand the potential, I understand the rewards - which could be mega - but which might not - I understand that prices go up on rumour and are quite often overbought - then oversold - just like most other shares - so not quite sure what all the fuss is about.

A personal plea - can we get back to constructive discussion when new news hits the wire - I think we have done old news to death.

I personally think that SEO is a winner and I am an investor - rather than a trader- not sure of the time scale so I hold (a lot) of their shares. If I did not beleive in this company - I would have sold out long ago. Others will have diferent strategies - thats great - wouldn't it be boring if we all did the same thing.

So please lets get back to what I thought was one of the best threads on one of the best boards.

By the way - I thought Prague was fantastic - a wonderful city to walk round if you enjoy architecture, culture, atmosphere, good beer and excellent food and friendly people. It also helped that they staged the Prague marathon over the weekend which meant that there were also live bands and groups and street entertainers on street corners all over the place which added to the atmosphere. Not as cheap as I had been lead to beleive - but certainly good value.

yeah......to go down from 30p to the 21-23p range would be taking the steam out, and letting it settle - not bad........and as you say, nice steady buy opportunities for those of us long-term investors that can feed on the others that poo themselves and sell out.

overgrowth - 25 May 2005 11:55 - 4836 of 27111

Guys - I hope you all made plenty of money on the way up, unfortunately I missed out on the big surge because I was waiting for a CFD account to be set up :-(

Looking at the chart it seems that a return back to the 20p suppport level is likely, although should there be no news soon, a perfect "head and shoulders" formation would take us back to the 16p level (real bargain bucket prices).

I'm looking to buy in again over the next couple of weeks, but exactly when is the question. Decisions, decisions...

For the long termers, I've no doubt that RF sealed trays and frogpack will be used all over the world in due course - so you either ride out the current storm or nip out and nip back in again at a lower price.

Frampton - 25 May 2005 12:06 - 4837 of 27111

Well said Baza. You probably wish you hadn't bothered coming back!

Chiva20 - 25 May 2005 12:08 - 4838 of 27111

Bravo Baza, good to have you back. It seems yourself, Eric and Andy all departed for R&R with optimum timing. It left Bos, Driver and a handful of other faithfuls to maintain some semblance of intelligent comment in the face of serious adv(fn)ersity. As always they'll get bored, and hopefully it's already returning to it's constructive self. I think its unfortunate sacrifice to make that when SEO gets more attention we have to submit to some drivel on here from nobody's, only to return to normality after it stabilises!

bhunt1910 - 25 May 2005 12:15 - 4839 of 27111

Frampton - with 100% hindsight - I would have wished to have sold like dynamite and bought back in about now - but I have tried doing that in the past and more often than not have caught a cold - so now I tend to decide which shares I want longer term and hold them through peaks and troughs until I reach my target price or conditions change that force me to review my stance. I tend to maintain an ongoing risk analysis of all my shares and act accordingly

a couple of big buys going through, hopefully we will see the SP turn northward again

Chiva20 - 25 May 2005 12:19 - 4841 of 27111

Can anyone confirm if Simon Cawkwell is Short on this or not? Speculation both ways but nothing concrete yet?

belisce6 - 25 May 2005 12:26 - 4842 of 27111

i haven't really gotten into what he does and how good he does it, but i would have thought that it would be slightly dangerous for him to go short on this......especially if he hasn't already done it by now.....fundamentals have not changed and growth story still holds......although the shorters would be pointing at the current financials vs sp.....

Frampton - 25 May 2005 12:27 - 4843 of 27111

Baza, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I did sell a few of these at the top, but didn't have the nerve to sell too much as my timing is never brilliant. I am happy to hold for the long term so the price fluctuations don't matter too much. I am also looking to buy back much more than I sold, but I think I'll watch for a while to see where it settles.

belisce6 - 25 May 2005 12:27 - 4844 of 27111

i know that it has probably already been said before, but does anyone know when the next set of SEO results (financials) are due out ??

STANELCO LONG TERM INVESTMENT GUYS 1.50 NEAR FUTURE

pension271 - 25 May 2005 12:57 - 4847 of 27111

from EK - just posted on t1ps board.
I have closed my shorts in IP2IPO (IPO) and in Stanelco (SEO) as housekeeping measures. I received a lengthy set of notes from the fine establishment that is Evolution Securities on Stanelco and I can concede that there might just be a bull case although I still regard the valuation as fanciful. The truth is that I have traded Stanelco half a dozen times, up and down, and made money each time. Given that I do not really understand how the valuation stacks up I think this just goes to show that I am rather clever. Or perhaps, as the diarist suggests, just lucky. So it is perhaps better to retire to the touchlines.

Hardly Seq, just believe credit where it's due - wouldn't you agree? I have also respected your comments in the past, which you previously acknowledged? I'm comparitively new to this so don't wish to antagonise, or move the thread away from what's important which I imagine can be painful for all others. Hope you feel the same.

Chiva

Pension - that's great news thanks

andysmith - 25 May 2005 13:09 - 4849 of 27111

We might hate the tosser when he shorts our stocks but you have to give him credit where its due, SEO was high on rumour and if I had the bollocks and funds to have spread-bets on a fall it was obvious on reading the RNS that it would become a target for profit-takers/shorters. Sorry guys, you know that I am an SEO investor but this week was prime-time to make good dosh trading as well out of the borson brigade. Would have given more cash to invest!!
I was asked by an individual from these boards at the weekend as to my opinion on SEO, it was that IF the RNS backed up the rumour BUY, if not the sp will fall to about 25p which will be a better buying opportunity. That advice doesn't go against my long-term beliefs of SEO, just an appraisal of current sp/news etc to hopefully have assisted someone else on board at the best price possible . Nothing wrong with what Di did, I would have done the same if I was here and increased my holding by about 15% without spending a penny. Shit.

andysmith - 25 May 2005 13:10 - 4850 of 27111

To back up Baza, please lets have our bb back to reasoned arguments and opinions and not hundreds of swiping comments. Its not good and quite frankly bloody boring!!

Sequestor - 25 May 2005 13:34 - 4851 of 27111

As I suggested a.m. some buyers are back after their fright, starting to pull back now and I expect a little blue at the day end

ps short FTSE100 down to 4900

bosley - 25 May 2005 13:36 - 4852 of 27111

blimey!! ek acknowledging that the might be a bull case for seo??? whatever next? IIdiot saying he was wrong ? you never know..........
i think it's still a little too early to say wether we are have reached any new levels of support and resistance although buyers have been coming back in over the last hour or so. but ek telling everyone he no longer shorts seo is good news.

Sequestor - 25 May 2005 13:38 - 4853 of 27111
