THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

time you went carp fishing i think ...... you may find sitting by the water to have an efficacious and calming effect ...... sure as hell you need something really badly, and valium is no real cure

MaxK - 24 Oct 2014 19:50 - 48415 of 81564

I suspect that if you were to have an alien from another planet look over the relative performance of most recent governments, that they would conclude that they are all rubbish....all of them!

goldfinger - 24 Oct 2014 20:04 - 48416 of 81564

Wonder if all public school boys are all like that.

Make no wonder they make lousy divided governments.

Always stabbing someone else in the back.

Chris Carson - 24 Oct 2014 20:08 - 48417 of 81564

Lily The Pink, efficacious in every way :0)

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:09 - 48418 of 81564

what a very strange chap you are
why on earth do you have this paranoid idea that i have "stabbed you in the back"?
it really is every bit as much tosh as when you accused me of taking the piss out of you because you have a minor degree of dyslexia

goldfinger - 24 Oct 2014 20:16 - 48419 of 81564

An eye for an eye.

Ive got plenty of time and i just love staying up all night.

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:19 - 48420 of 81564

is anyone meant to care?

goldfinger - 24 Oct 2014 20:23 - 48421 of 81564

Yep you thicky. Just think about it.

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:25 - 48422 of 81564

you're a poor judge of character then
it worries me not one iota, any more than do your regular snide comments about my upbringing and similar
however, it does reveal rather a lot about you ...... not that that is of much interest to anyone either

goldfinger - 24 Oct 2014 20:27 - 48423 of 81564

Thats OK, no probs.

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:29 - 48424 of 81564

time to park handbags? :-)

goldfinger - 24 Oct 2014 20:31 - 48425 of 81564

Think your thread followers are getting a little miffed though, especially seymour.

A bit like all the complaints Mike B recd about you, CC and DB...............

Bullshare - 24 Oct 2014 16:29 - 2248 of 2271

Chris Carson; I have a very a good sense of humour ( I must have to have founded MoneyAm and ADVFN) but when I have an email box of complaints about this thread(chart attack spoilers) my sense of humour fast disappears.

All of just toe the line, makes life easier for you and me !!!

Haystack - 24 Oct 2014 20:31 - 48426 of 81564

Is it safe for you to be seen in Dubai with a handbag?

doodlebug4 - 24 Oct 2014 20:32 - 48427 of 81564

Lol

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:34 - 48428 of 81564

last time i was here, i was truly amazed to see a guy built like a builder strolling around dubai mall (it's truly HUGE) in fully drag

doodlebug4 - 24 Oct 2014 20:36 - 48429 of 81564

Was it Boris Johnson?

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:37 - 48430 of 81564

not nearly as good looking :-)

cynic - 24 Oct 2014 20:48 - 48432 of 81564

i read a few of those when they were published in ST ....some were indeed entertaining

Fred1new - 24 Oct 2014 21:01 - 48433 of 81564

Manuel.

Are you claiming expenses for lying (down) in the sun?

GF .

I squelched Alds a long time ago.

Max/

I "grumble" about "governments", but I would hate to have the responsibility.

The thing I dislike about this government is their lack of long term policies in favour of society as a whole, in favour of short term policies, which they hope will buy them favours with their backers, or in the short term advantageous to themselves. (Greed.)

I dislike their dishonesty with and distortion of "figures", to the degree when the general public distrusts them. (A new low in politics.)

I can't remember a period in which UK society has been so fragmented and demoralised and with little unity of future goals for children and society as a whole.

It is a stinking time in politics.
