THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

well MrT, you didn't even start to approach the problem.

Should you do so, don't forget to address who will do all the low paid jobs (+ the ones for well-qualified immigrants) that few brits want to go anywhere near ......

i fear that (perpetual) benefits, while not exactly providing a comfortable lifestyle, make such jobs somewhat unappealing

Marussia have become the second F1 team to be placed in administration within days, it has been confirmed.

Administrators FRP Advisory said the Banbury-based team would will continue to operate but had already withdrawn from the forthcoming US Grand Prix.

Caterham, also based in Oxfordshire, was put in administration on Friday and will miss the US and Brazilian races.

Marussia driver Jules Bianchi remains in hospital, following a crash at the Japanese Grand Prix, on 5 October.

Bianchi sustained serious head injuries when his car was in collision with a tractor recovery vehicle.

Their other driver, Max Chilton, has yet to score even his first point.

In a statement, FRP Advisory confirmed the company, known as Manor Grand Prix Racing Limited and trading as Marussia F1 Team, "will continue to operate while the joint administrators assess the longer-term viability of the company in its present form".

Last week, the company that builds cars for the Caterham Formula 1 team went into administration, putting hundreds of jobs at risk and leading to staff being locked out of the team's site in Leafield.

On Friday, the bosses of Caterham F1 formally agreed to hand over the running of the team to administrators.

UKIP will be attacked on their policies once a difinitive list is published. In particular any economic policies will be torn apart by other parties. They have no resource to cost their policies. The other parties have economic models developed over the years based on the treasury model.

The accountants will soon have the cars going faster.

MaxK - 27 Oct 2014 12:11 - 48605 of 81564

For all the good those economic policies have achieved, they might as well have not bothered.

Haystack - 27 Oct 2014 12:12 - 48606 of 81564

Marussia will probably have had sponsorship money suspended due to Bianchi not racing.

Fred1new - 27 Oct 2014 12:14 - 48607 of 81564

Well UKIP seems to be in the same position as the tories, except the latter have had their fantasy policies costed out and rejected.

Best to let these teams fall by the wayside. They are going to remain unstable. Porsche are supposed to be returning to F1 in 2016.

oh do shut up fred ...... you're like a badly cracked record :-)

Haystack - 27 Oct 2014 12:18 - 48612 of 81564

MaxK - 27 Oct 2014 12:19 - 48613 of 81564

Good news re porch.

Audi are rumoured to be entering F1 in 2016 with Alonso

cynic - 27 Oct 2014 12:20 - 48615 of 81564

Haystack - 27 Oct 2014 12:24 - 48617 of 81564
