"I want to win EVERY DAY and am VERY annoyed if I am outside the top 10.Why ??
Because it clearly shows I know almost NOTHING about my work i.e.inability to
predict - within reasonable parameters - what the level will be in 1 MONTH.
I am only number 7 today.That,for me,is bad.

OK ajren i'll be watching you :-)

Hi Kayak,
Please do.I do not HIDE behind the word FUN as an excuse for bizarre figures.
You were no 29 out of 71 which is certainly not bizarre.

LW
thanks for your continued efforts on this.
Like you ( an accountant working irregularly) I see this as a bit of fun and like to have a balance between fun and seriousness. Ultimately this is a game for free where the prize is 50 voucher. when I invest my own money there is much more at stake and hence take it a bit more seriously.
to me keeping the balance right is. there are times to be serious and times to have fun - LW - keep having your fun - its what keeps us sane.

Can someone confirm the closing FTSE? Home page:
FTSE falls as Bank Holiday approaches
Ian Taylor
The FTSE 100 had a weak day despite a positive jump at the start of trading, and finished at close on 4426.70, down 22.90 points

I can confirm that this is definitely a fun thread. It was started about 18 months ago when there were no prizes other than the "yellow jersey".
little woman
Well done for continuing the competition and for all the effort that you put into this thread

Congrats Owl, way off the mark this time round..I received my odd bin vouchers this week along with a copy of the week's Shares Magazine. they were out of stock hence the delay.
Will post my FTSE prediction for end of June in the next 24 hours...need to analyse things more deeply...was 150pts off the mark this time...very bad.

4430.7 was not my guess for next month :)

Unlucky splat, perhaps moneyam will award 2 prizes because of the confusion?
Martini - keep trying! Never mind at least you have something to celebrate this month with your team being promoted!
little woman - if its any consolation, I expect that I would have taken the wrong closing figure too, its just unfortunate that its the last trading day of the month

Could I be slightly bizarre and have 4560 for June Please. And thank you for producing this thread, I do find it fun and found a good deal of pleasure in the rewards of my recent win.

Interesting that it is mostly the BIZARRE figure posters are saying FUN
e.g.optomistic at number 62/190.3
People over 35th - approx - place this month should be ashamed to call themselves investors.I would exit the stock market if I get 2 consecutive
months over 20th place.

Commiserations, splat - same thing happened to beardy and me a couple of months back ;) Well done, owl - the original instigator of this bizarre pastime?
I'll try and remember to get mine in for next month after I've got the old bizarometer working again.
