England haven't a hope. Reason? Easy, Englands players are over-paid, the captain is a poof who concentrates too much on the colour of his nail varnish and his latest tattoo than his football.
There just isn't the 'hunger' in Englands game as there was in years gone by.
So I think they should only paid then what they are worth, and introduce performance related pay, so if they win a game they get a nice bonus (all of the team) but keep the wages small IMHO.

The media in England hype the English team up to be world beaters. Reality shows that they aint unless they play in England where they play better like most nations.

Beckham is way way over-rated. All he can really do is cross a ball. He does that well though, much better than most players.

You'll never stop the vast sums of money these empty headed morons get paid at footy now.

BSkyB has a lot to answer for.........and i dont like all these games played on a sunday midday, afternoon, monday night etc etc.
Bring back sat at 3pm and wed at 7.30pm when i used to go lots 20 or so years ago. I stopped going to footy now as i think most of it is garbage. Most players cant even trap a ball.

the english tele just could not help themself,s could they

hey i was even supporting england after this (felt sorry for the biased commentators)

no support really went when 66(remember the 66(the only team in the world cup compitition (ever) never to move out of there national stadium ever) 66))
support was still there but not as much

it really left when the commentator comes out with the best put your foot in it big time comment(88 min)

the french manager is moving to spurs after this compitition was his reception going to be a friendly one(not according to old moxy)

all hes going to hear around the grounds is 1-0 1-0 1-0

according to your irritating commentators
because youve already won the game as far as these no brain mothers are concerned(imho)

for some reason your english television and radio commentators just cant get it into there heads that the game lasts till the whistle is blown

now as you might have guessed by now my support has left the english camp(just because of the tripe these guys are allowed to spit out)

i was wanting england to beat the french but when you have ppl like your commentators and program organisors taking the piss and making out that the team have already won when the ball is still being kicked smells of pure ARROGANCE

true english supporters should be flooding the tele with complaints that the ppl you are listening too dont seam to have a real touch on reality(imho)

I almost feel sorry for the English supporters ;-) However, they were playing the perhaps the best team in the world - so it's not really a bad result.

I expect them now to get runner up place, beat Spain in the quarters but then meet, and get beaten by, Italy in the semis. Even put a tenner on'm to beat the Swiss.

Well we almost got lucky and nicked the game, I dare say a draw would have been a fair result. For me Zidane had a poor game but then when the chips were down his class shown through.

Once again we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.....how anyone can say Heskey is an international footballer has always amazed me.....great to see Rooney hungry, direct and not afraid to stick the boot in, shame the invisble midfield and owen had to be shown by an 18 year old. the defence was fine, king and campbell were solid...why was james in the middle of his goal for the freekick??..his wall should have been covering the left side to allow him to cover the right....was scholes actually playing.??..and becks should never be captain in a month of sundays..he has absolutely no leadership qualities....post mortems yet again....!!

Scotland placed on a major flood alert. All areas of Scotland were last night placed on high alert as a major flood is expected this morning. This is thought to have been caused by most of Scotland pishing themselves laughing at the England result.
