Football, What chances !, World Cup, Euro, Clubs, for all : home and away ! (FC)

required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Blinkin' late goal.....no luck for me since the world cup.....was 750 up on the betting front...now perhaps the same amount down....anyway ...looks like Rooney has insulted people at home by the look of it......these England players need to be sent to a boot camp .....it is only through humility, kindness, modesty with dertermination, talent of course, but no pigheadiness is going to help......I don't think over celebrating goals is going to do it either.....our players need to take in a few extra qualities from good behaviour manuals....if they do ; they might surprise us with great performances in the eurochampionships and such.....

ManU true to themselves.....I doubt if the Blues will turn that around.....Spurs let in too many goals.....might be a Barca-ManU final....but Shalke will be difficult...remember Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and of course Bayern Munich.....I seem to be forgetting Real, but Barcelona in tiptop form should prevail....

Are you still losing money on the footie RF? Cricket season just started for your convenience.

required field - 08 Apr 2011 16:21 - 493 of 6918

Don't know much about cricket !....just risking the odd tenner now and again....it's bizarre but up until the dismal England performances in that last world cup, I was doing fine, since then : I have been in reverse !...

Well you know what they say about being in a hole.. Stop digging -):

Chris Carson - 12 Apr 2011 20:40 - 495 of 6918

Wee punt on the match tonight, just missed out by a foot first goalscorer Rooney 5/1. All on second punt now United to win 3 -0.

Dil - 13 Apr 2011 01:02 - 496 of 6918

Watch out Premier League ...... Cardiff coming your way :-)

Dil - 13 Apr 2011 01:04 - 497 of 6918

... and imo after watching that game tonight , if Torres is worth 50 million then 37 year old Giggs is worth 200 million !

What a waste of money !

Chris Carson - 13 Apr 2011 07:17 - 498 of 6918

Aye your right Dil, amazed Drogba left on the bench. Chelsea never looked like scoring till hecame on for the second half (txxt). :O)

required field - 14 Apr 2011 10:40 - 499 of 6918

Poor old Spurs.....missed most of the game...but just switched the TV on and bingo they let in a blunderous goal.....dear oh dear...that was not the Eurospurs we were seeing in the autumn.....now can they catch ManCity ?...possibly, if ManU do them a favour tomorrow...

required field - 14 Apr 2011 22:58 - 500 of 6918

Sorry, mixed up with the FA cup....still think that Spurs can catch Man City but they will have to play much better than against Real !.

Dil - 17 Apr 2011 01:53 - 501 of 6918

Another week and another 6 points for Cardiff :-)

Stan - 17 Apr 2011 09:13 - 502 of 6918

You'll need 'em, as you won't be getting anything from the Fortress come the 8th May -):

Dil - 18 Apr 2011 09:04 - 503 of 6918

We'll be up by then Stan and thanks for sorting Swansea they are now out of it for second place imo.

Remaining fixtures :

QPR (h)
Preston (A)
Middlesborough (H)
Someone (A) :-)

Stan - 18 Apr 2011 09:49 - 504 of 6918

Dill,

Not at all any time -):

Joking aside that was a good week for you, and if you can keep that form up and QPR get docked ? pts. you could end up Champs.

Stan - 18 Apr 2011 20:54 - 505 of 6918

Anyone watching this, just seen it.

Trillion Dollar Con-Man: Panorama.

Panorama tracks down a fraudster who stole a football club and broke a bank. With his tales of foreign gold and assets worth 2 trillion dollars, the con man fooled politicians, celebrities and the City. He even tricked the former England football manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, into visiting North Korea to support his scam. So why were so many people taken in, and how did one man run rings round the regulators and authorities? SUB
Today on BBC1 West from 8:30pm to 9:00pm

Chris Carson - 19 Apr 2011 20:41 - 506 of 6918

Watching Newcastle v Man Utd match, come back Andy Gray you are forgiven. Sam Allardice football commentator? I don't think so!

Dil - 24 Apr 2011 01:33 - 507 of 6918

Championship will go to the wire and will be all to play for ilast game of season imo between Norwich and Cardiff for second spot behind qpr but they (qpr) got a league disciplinary hearimg hanging over them with a points deduction up to 20 on the cards.

Stan - 27 Apr 2011 10:17 - 508 of 6918

Burnley still in with a shout for the play-off's after a storming win at Derby.. 2 easy games left, Leeds away and Cardiff at home -):

Ed; Sadly the word on the QPR business is a financial slap on the wrist rather then deduction of 20 points or a smaller points reduction which does not affect places.

required field - 27 Apr 2011 10:27 - 509 of 6918

ManU are looking home and dry.....they will give the spanish a lot to think about in the final....
