Biofuels Corporation. (BFC)

wilbs - 07 Jul 2004 19:47

The main activity of Biofuels is the large scale production and exploitation of biodiesel and glycerine following the construction and commissioning of the initial plant.

Biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and, as an environmentally friendly product, can make a significant contribution towards reducing green house gases and meeting Kyoto targets.

There is no news from BFC at the moment because hopefully there is nothing to report since their last statement , that being that the plant will be finished by the end of September. now if there is a delay i think they should have told us by now,, and if not i expect the sp to go back up .This is quite miserable.........

Frampton - 05 Sep 2005 18:05 - 491 of 1184

Surely if there is a delay they would have to report it as soon as they know? I hope the share price doesn't deteriorate any more before the 19th, but I can't see it going up until we have more news. As far as I can see a delay has now been factored in, however if they do announce one it is bound to drop much further as the market over reacts, so we'd better hope the next news is good, if so it should rise rapidly. I am still happy to hold, and will do until we've heard something from the company, this has only dropped on unsubsantiated rumours and people being very wary of BFC after the last big fall.

Here Here Framton,, rumours,, until i hear something to the contrary i'm staying put..Cheers ..

In last weeks Share mag, the 'diary' page suggested an AGM on Wed 7th Sept, it appears that this must have been a misprint ???

Frampton - 06 Sep 2005 08:30 - 494 of 1184

There has been alot of debate on ADVFN about the 7th and the 19th, but it seems the 19th is the correct date and it is not an AGM, but a meeting to update shareholders on the plants progress.

Madison - 06 Sep 2005 12:27 - 495 of 1184

Sudden dose of rocket fuel?

Frampton - 06 Sep 2005 12:33 - 496 of 1184

Any reason for the sudden rise? - other than the fall being completely overdone and for no reason anyway. Is it shorters getting out fast?

jimmy b - 06 Sep 2005 12:36 - 497 of 1184

Don't know , there is lots of speculation on other BB's ,,but as you say Frampton overdone , i still have complete confidence in this one ...

mayiguo - 06 Sep 2005 12:39 - 498 of 1184

jimmy b - 06 Sep 2005 12:43 - 499 of 1184

jimmy b - 06 Sep 2005 12:49 - 500 of 1184

SMALL CAPS: BIOFUELS REASSURES INVESTORS OVER NEW PLANT
By Robert Orrand Peter Garnham
Published: September 6 2005 03:00 | Last updated: September 6 2005 03:00

*Biofuels, which is seeking to build Europe's largest biodiesel plant on Teesside, slipped 3.7 per cent to 142p as its self-imposed deadline to begin production at the plant crept closer. Biofuels has pledged to begin "full operation" by the end of this month, although some investors are worried the facility will not be ready. An August deadline has already proved ambitious and Biofuels has pledged to update investors in two weeks. While timing remains an issue, noises from inside the company are that it will meet its sales targets

This was all i could find,,Cheers JB..

Frampton - 06 Sep 2005 13:05 - 502 of 1184

Thanks for that Jimmy.

NickB - 06 Sep 2005 13:18 - 503 of 1184

Is the high price of diesel now a problem for biofuels ?

ie an additive to diesel will increase the price at the pumps

hlyeo98 - 06 Sep 2005 13:21 - 504 of 1184

Great news...BFC should be on a uptrend from here

jimmy b - 06 Sep 2005 14:48 - 505 of 1184

Storming back !! would'nt be suprised to hear full prodution is sold and plants ready on time ..

Frampton - 06 Sep 2005 15:59 - 506 of 1184

Its good to see it back in positive territory now. A steady rise to the 19th would be nice - although I have to admit I never expected to see it rise until that date. Then good news out hopefully, and the skys the limit.
NickB, the higher the price of diesel the better for Biofuels, except at the moment, while they are not producing and the hedge is still in place.

jimmy b - 06 Sep 2005 16:36 - 507 of 1184

That will do for starters Framton ,,12p up today..

Frampton - 06 Sep 2005 16:55 - 508 of 1184

Jimmy, if it does that every day 'til the 19th I'll be very happy!

jimmy b - 06 Sep 2005 17:16 - 509 of 1184

!54 now + 13 x 12 = 300p ,,yes so would i ,we may have to wait a litle longer but it's coming !...
