Looks like support around the 900p level (at the moment).

cynic - 04 Apr 2008 08:14 - 494 of 896

certainly held that when all was darkest gloom and doom, so not impossible to see much closer to 10.00 even today ..... may depend on how Wall Street reacts to the employment figures whatever their hue

niceonecyril - 04 Apr 2008 09:05 - 495 of 896

With the SP down to around 9 30p and a rights issue (which the institutions
seem to have agreed upon), which if you take 3 for 2 as a possibility. So thats
say 25% drop in SP + a further drop of 33% so to raise the $600m (roughly 300m)
thats a further 50m shares needed to cover the fund raising, thats almost double
the shares in circulation at present so 100m shares. At 13 50p proir to the news which saw this drop the M/Cap was around 700m, at present its 491m + the 300m raised gives a total of around 800m, is roughly what i make it?
So thats 800/100 = 8, again rule of thumb calc's.
Thats my thoughts on of the present situation, looking from the outside i will
wait and see how things work out before making any decision.

GS has rerated from sell to hold, with a 30% rights issue, little risk with
the downside 7% at todays SP (850p?) and a target of 1034p.

cynic - 04 Apr 2008 13:30 - 499 of 896

gibby - 04 Apr 2008 13:49 - 500 of 896

glad you got some relief on this one then

cynic - 04 Apr 2008 13:52 - 501 of 896

hindsight says i should have hung on even longer, but don't care ..... now 1027

gibby - 04 Apr 2008 14:12 - 502 of 896

keep an eye on nighthawk energy

cynic - 04 Apr 2008 14:34 - 506 of 896

an eagle eye no doubt, but why?

gibby - 04 Apr 2008 15:07 - 507 of 896

indeed! this one will continue to do very well, strong reports will continue through the year & beyond - many reasons to buy hawk, depends what your own share strategy is whether it would suit though - i already have some shares as part of a longer strat. for when hawk is sold off eventually as well as shorts - good luck

cynic - 04 Apr 2008 15:09 - 508 of 896

ah, so nothing imminet then ..... sold mine (decent profit) the other day, but merely to take some cash off the table and because they had gone a bit stagnant

required field - 04 Apr 2008 15:47 - 509 of 896

I'm also out of HAWK at the moment...but coming back to IEC (not in either)...but what a mover today...traders could make a buck or two when it goes like this !

gibby - 04 Apr 2008 16:27 - 510 of 896

but not too far off, if hawk keeps dropping a bit more for now pick up some more - glad you made some good profit - been a good earner so far, yep IEC a very good day - have a very good weekend all

gibby - 06 Apr 2008 16:29 - 511 of 896

this week - enrc & baltic oil terminals

niceonecyril - 15 Apr 2008 23:06 - 512 of 896

What would this do for IEC's SP?Tax reduction, as its 90% for IEC.
