skinny - 08 Mar 2012 12:22 - 502 of 761

Tanker - you can say what you like - a perk (atm) of living in this country - but your post 496 (and many more) is a blatant ramp. There may be (although I doubt it) some naive readers that think that what you post is fact.

HARRYCAT - 08 Mar 2012 12:23 - 503 of 761

Isn't it???? Oh cr*p, now you tell me!

That's a brave call TANK, looking at the 3 year chart strong resistance @ 115.0. Good luck for 120.0 next week in this market :O)

TANKER - 09 Mar 2012 09:08 - 507 of 761

over 9% div no tax . and you may get 4% if you are daft enough to tie up your cash for 3 to 4 years . i will take the 9% and possible takeover .
interest rates are going nowhere for at least 3 more years so any cash you do not need put it in to rsa safe company and worth the risk ,
this is my view

TANKER - 09 Mar 2012 09:10 - 508 of 761

100k invest in these pays £8500 a year dam good is it not

midknight - 09 Mar 2012 12:20 - 509 of 761

Tanks, what you say abou divi paying shares, and there a few
consistently high yielding ones around, is generally true and, if one
has large sums to buy these and either hold for the divi or sell them
after the divi has benn paid, it makes sense, but only if
one can buy in very large quantities.

I think frequent traders here might not be interested in tying up
their money for long periods which is probably why you
keep getting flak, but you tend to play the same record
again and again, too.

The three-year chart may show what it does, but even
last year it was pssible to sell RSA at 138-144 and
buy back again much cheaper for the divi.

TANKER - 09 Mar 2012 12:27 - 510 of 761

mid quite correct i kkep alot of money for rainy day so i put them in shares like rsa
pretty safe and if i want some cash just sell a few but the div isplenty so never do it buys my cars and hols and safe

parrisf - 10 Mar 2012 14:05 - 511 of 761

How long after the Ex-Divi day do we keep the shares?

TANKER - 10 Mar 2012 14:17 - 512 of 761

you can sell at 8 01 am on the ex div day you will get the div

Chris Carson - 10 Mar 2012 19:29 - 513 of 761

midnight - Quite right perfect tactics. Maybe one day TANKER will get it right. I may be completely wrong, but if you read into his posts I think he is sitting on a loss. SP where it is now he'll be lucky to break even, that is why he is desperately ramping like a good un. If what he posts is true he was buying shed loads right up to the high.
Check out post 463 on 23rd Feb, why not say price he closed? Then read his next post 464. This is the guy who buys stocks allegedly for the divi. Wind down further to
post 480 and try not to laugh. As for the freind who is never wrong .....I rest my case :O)

Hope it goes right for him and stock soars, guys a legend, makes my day.
