Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 May 2006 15:39 - 4951 of 7315

Di,

On it now and JT has made our suppliers aware of this - they are going to be doing some testing on the feed to see what is causing this.

AAL 2156

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 May 2006 15:44 - 4954 of 7315

Di,

Can you refresh, the only order I can see for 2156 is for col 387 times 15.43 and is a correct order on the sell side

Dynamite - 17 May 2006 16:13 - 4955 of 7315

Ian,

Can you tell your suppliers to hurry up with this as you cannot trust anything you see on level 2...AAL 2147 by the way. I've given up for the day anyway :-(

You can only describe it as a mess !

Is there any SETS stock that doesn't have rogue orders ?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 May 2006 16:17 - 4957 of 7315

Di,

they have been informed and will hopefully be doing the testing tonight after close, we have given them specific info on this to work from.

Qwento you are right and I got fed up trading just before this big drop and I was short too but as I couldn't trust L2 and I trade the order book I gave up :-(
Di

Dynamite - 17 May 2006 16:19 - 4959 of 7315

Fingers crossed Ian then

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 May 2006 16:20 - 4960 of 7315

Apologies to you all - as I say JT has made our suppliers aware of this and they will be investigating to try and eliminate this problem. When we are updated by them, I will of course update you all,

Ian

Dynamite - 17 May 2006 16:21 - 4961 of 7315

If they can't get it right I know loads of testers who work on Trading platforms who can get it right...they aren't cheap through but they get the job done

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 May 2006 16:24 - 4962 of 7315

Di,

They have the resources to investigate this, and I am confident they together with help from our tech team will find and resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Ian

Dynamite - 18 May 2006 09:21 - 4964 of 7315

Ian,

Whats up with the stockwatches today? They are not keeping up with the L" for example stockwatch Rio 2800/03...real price 2797/01 assuming L2 is ok

Keepsgetting stuck :-(
Di

IanT(MoneyAM) - 18 May 2006 09:22 - 4965 of 7315

Di,

I will monitor it and see if I can see this.

Will let you know,

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 18 May 2006 09:24 - 4966 of 7315

Di,

L2 is correct, and have just monitored firstly aal and rio against Level 2 and they are updating at the same pace with the correct figures.

May be worthwhile you restarting when you have a convenient point to do it, to see if this clears the problem as it sounds as though the applet is 'sticking' on your machine.

Ian - losers toplist(and presumably the other lists) is showing different percentage changes to L2 and stockwatch (DMR being the most obvious example).

Whilst it doesn't make much odds today, with lots of dubious changes due to several MMs going offline before close yesterday, it would be nice to have it sorted out, so we have accurate info tomorrow.

Cheers,
dell
