Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

I have the same prob as Sue, I am remembered as Seymour, the Clearly never displays, so I have to type it in each time. Now I could change to SeymourClearly or plain old Seymour, but I'd like to remain as I am please!

ipenning - 15 Jan 2003 18:24 - 497 of 7315

I've fixed the problem with spaces in usernames - you will see it in the next release. It was all my fault, sorry...

Bullshare - 16 Jan 2003 10:38 - 498 of 7315

New version of Stockwatch just gone in . Thanks to Kayak for colours. Blame him if you don't like them:-)

Now we need to sort out which columns are bold and which are not. Over to you all.

MightyMicro,

*puts Operations hat on*

NTP is now running on an hourly basis and syncing to three atomic clocks.

*puts Systems Admin hat back on*

ipenning - I was actually Sue42 (no space ... over there) - so I don't mind if you either change my handle - or fix the bug!!

MightyMicro - 16 Jan 2003 13:46 - 501 of 7315

tullettj:

Three atomic clocks -- that's more neutrons than Saddam's got in his weapons programme.

What weapons programme?

Streaming stockwatch now working. Thanks

Just been comparing the Trades pages for SCE with those recorded on '*****'. They show 3 entries totally 13,829 whilst this site just records the T trade of 10,329. Weird. But could somebody please take a look?

Big Al - 17 Jan 2003 23:03 - 505 of 7315

Just posted on the login thread that I have the same problem as Sue and Seymour on the login page. I get Big, but no Al!

Still happening today.

MightyMicro - 17 Jan 2003 23:22 - 506 of 7315

Al: be happy that you're Big :)

I think this is fixed in a software release ex-IST that has yet to make it to the live site.

Problem is I'm 5' 9" and 150 lbs. I think the name came about due to size of mouth. It's certainly not anything else ;-)

No rush for upgrade, just pointing it out.

My stockwatch page is up-to-date with the exception of BOOT which is locked as of 16.52 on Friday, showing down 6p. Tried F5 and logging in again. Still there.

MightyMicro - 20 Jan 2003 10:44 - 509 of 7315

vasey: see reply on your other thread. We're looking into this.

Am logged in to this site hence able to post this but if I select "stockwatch" button from the top this brings up the login script page which says I am logged in! Press login again anyway and it brings up the home page. Currently behind firewall. Whazup?

Pugugly - 20 Jan 2003 15:26 - 511 of 7315

Not sure if you are already aware but top list appears to be creating errors - for instance today shows CCG as 12 month high at approc 225 but 12 month high is over 300

Biffer - 20 Jan 2003 16:16 - 512 of 7315

Haven't worked my way all through this thread, but the other side is currently being plagued on the FreeBB by 'opportunities', i.e invitations to sign up for newsletters (and ultimately gawd knows what).

I hope AM have got some plans in hand to stop this sort of dross.

Pugugly - 20 Jan 2003 16:30 - 513 of 7315

Watchlist just giving grey screen - nbg. Reason? Please advise.

PDM - 20 Jan 2003 22:21 - 514 of 7315

regarding enhancements, may I suggest within market scan you incorporate ftse 350 % winners and losers live each day. Ftse 350 companies are the ones most active traders are really interested in because of liquity etc.

Even better would be a grid showing the ftse 350 movers for each hourly split, ie from 9 o clock (9,10, 11 etc to close). This would give us a real feel for whats moving the market during the hours of any trading day. It would also give early warning signals for stuff going into overbought/oversold territory intraday. This would be really useful info and help differentiate this site as the traders friend!

Also an hourly grid showing the % moves in sectors constituting the ftse 350 would also be very useful, although getting the ftse 350 cos would be an excellent start.

thanks

Still having the login problem with the second half of my name being removed, also had to relog in when moving between pages. This is since the upgrade tonight.

I also endorse pdm's request (513) - I think that's an excellent idea. Hemscott have / had one similar which was very useful. Have to pay to get it now though :-(
