harlosh, interested to hear what you think of his presentation, i thought the content of his candlestick seminar was very good

Harlosh - 03 Mar 2006 09:50 - 4968 of 11056

I thought it was pretty awful G. Too simplistic and also made to look incredibly simple. But in fairness you can't teach something like that in an hour. Good as a taster session I suppose.

Harlosh - 03 Mar 2006 09:51 - 4969 of 11056

Any thoughts yourself on Cable Go'?

goforit - 03 Mar 2006 10:12 - 4970 of 11056

short term on 15 min chart,a wedge is developing, the fib nos(according to cmc settings) from recent high and lows seem to be giving support at 1.7511 area, if this holds you might get a breakout upwards theres abit of resistance at 1.7540 then to test recent high at 1.7550 area. if the support doesnt hold it'll go the other way with possible supports at 1.7485/460 areas

Harlosh - 03 Mar 2006 10:19 - 4971 of 11056

Thanks Go'. 7550 is key I think.

hilary - 03 Mar 2006 10:32 - 4972 of 11056

Thanks for the link, Goforit.

I'll be surprised if too much happens today ahead of the NY cut and Michigan at 3. I'm just playing the ranges till then.

edit: I'm also watching the cricket which is more exciting than this.

goforit - 03 Mar 2006 10:41 - 4973 of 11056

bit late up this am, just watching as I've got to take my mate round garages this morning( particularly as they take poets day very seriously outhere) trying to get a price to mend a head on his landrover. should be fun coz our spanish is non existent!

Gausie - 03 Mar 2006 10:46 - 4974 of 11056

Harlosh - thanks for the chart - I hadn't opened this thread. Have printed it out to see if I can make any sense of it.

Hilary - excuse my being coy, but my provider clouds rates in secrecy. It sucks - but thats how it is.

Each contract IS for 62,500 - proper name is BPH6 - the BP is british pound, the H is the quarter and the 6 is the year. Your provider probably has an odd naming convention.

You shouldn't pay more than $6.25 for a round trip with any provider. Cheapest I've ever seen is $0.50 with Kite Group (semi pro outfit) - but you have to rent a chair from them which I think is about $2k a month. Considering joining if I decide to go full time.

Major currency futures are usually cheaper to trade than commodity futs and are significantly more liquid.

Also trading the ripples at the moment, and leaving the waves until the direction is clear. Have 3 different uptrends on the 5 min chart. 1 down and 1 up on the 8 hour.

Gausie - 03 Mar 2006 11:06 - 4975 of 11056
