Pursuit Dynamics - A British success story in the making? (PDX)

Andy - 31 Aug 2003 11:58

Prlhead8.GIF

Pursuit Dynamics plc is a UK based research and development company, which was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary pumping and propulsion technology. Pursuit Dynamics (symbol: PDX) was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2001.

PDX 25 Sonic.

The PDX Technology is a steam-based system that has applications in both pumping and marine propulsion. It is cheap to manufacture, extremely robust, contains no moving parts and is virtually impossible to block. Pursuit Dynamics owns 100% of the Intellectual Property Rights that surround the PDX Technology.

Pursuit Dynamics is now working towards the commercialisation of the technology it has developed.

Andy PM for you.

cheers GF.

Andy - 30 Jan 2005 00:54 - 500 of 1003

Goldfinger,

What "silly rumours" have I posted then?

Check back, I haven't changed a single post, and am happy for Moneyam to confirm that!

My only reference to EK was that "he stated he had bought 40,000 long", which EK himself posted on ADVFN! So hardly a "rumour" IMHO.

I have pasted one of his posts from ADVFN below, just to prove my point.

Gentlemen,

I bought another 25,000 back at 195p and am now off to the boozer.

------------------------------

I think you need to re-read my previous posts, unlike some others, I do not base my investment decisions on what Simon Cawkwell, Ashley James, nor anyone else are buying or selling, I make my own decisions, so not hung up about EK at all.

I have EK's phone number, and email, and have spoken to him before, when he had his Eden Research challenge.

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2005 01:27 - 501 of 1003

Andy , calm down . Please look at the thread here and on other boards are you disputing theres a lot of tripe been discussed on these.? and evils position?.

And if this is true ,why ask about which TIP sheet is the best for you , (you know the big thread you started).?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Your words....

think you need to re-read my previous posts, unlike some others, I do not base my investment decisions on what Simon Cawkwell, Ashley James, nor anyone else are buying or selling, I make my own decisions.

Can we please keep it to that. I have great respect for you and I do not wish any falling out of online freinds.

cheers GF.

Andy - 30 Jan 2005 01:37 - 502 of 1003

Goldfinger,

Don't worry am relaxed, and have no intention nor wish of falling out with you or anyone.

You're correct, a lot of tripe HAS been aritten about EK's position, just not by me. I really don't care if he shorts it, value will out in the end (if there is any of course!) so not worried about intraday price movements.

With regard to the tipsheet thread, I genuinely wanted to know if there was one that would be recommended for two reasons.

The first is obviously becaue of there was a consistently good one, I admit I would probably subscribe for ideas, although I doubted that one existed, hence the thread.

The other reason is the guys in the shareclub asked which was the best one, and they don't want to spend time researching on the web, like a lot of people I guess.

I have not subscribed to any tipsheet for about 4 years, RHPS (Tom W) was my first and last!

Next week could be another interesting week for PDX!

Best regards,

Andy.

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2005 01:43 - 503 of 1003

Cheers Andy a virtual online handshake then.

regards GF.

EWRobson - 30 Jan 2005 14:38 - 504 of 1003

Andy

Good to see the goldfinger dialogue closed with a handshake - how it should be done. Nothing wrong with a bit of ding-dong. Have a problem, of course, with deliberate shorting linked with misinformation. I accept that one is more likely to get worried and possibly overreact, as I and several others did, when you are still getting to know a share. When the same happened with ASC, I was much more confident about the true value of the share and probably took advantage of the situation with short-term trades.

I am a fundamentals man rather than a technical analyst but have been studying Kahn to try and improve performance on a basis of "pick share on fundamentals, time buy on technical analysis". I see a support level as a level established on a down trend or previous trough. It could be argued that 135p is a support level, although the eventual movement was downwards. Certainly there is a strong suppoprt level at 120p. It could also be argued that the recent drop has established a new support level at 190p; particularly as negative rumour is often more damaging than hard news. Hopefully all academic, unless real problems do emerge on 7th Feb and the company denial of the rumours would appear to preclude that. I'm really just back waiting for a buying opportunity as the share is a real winner in the medium to long term.

EWR I agree with you have a Problem with shorting when mis information is being given out. And their was certainly plenty of that on the other side last week, hope that is over, but in that area I dont trust a soul. But agree with you on PDX being a real winner if everything else comes right. Still early days yet.

Andy - 30 Jan 2005 18:26 - 506 of 1003

GF,

Interesting, cheers!

goldfinger - 30 Jan 2005 23:13 - 507 of 1003

Andy - if you can read the other side , interesting information.

EWRobson - 31 Jan 2005 20:51 - 511 of 1003

mikeran

What's that? + or -?

Eric

mikeran - 31 Jan 2005 21:49 - 512 of 1003

EWR- Poster suggests that Friday short by EK was not filled because Investec needed stock. Falls in a little with my view that MM' did not react to, Two lots of 25k sells. No movement in the market , until further sells came in some 10 minutes later.Poster is suggesting that EK has finished short.
Poster is also suggesting rumours that PDX has placed orders with its suppliers for 385 units.
The poster is not a ramp type poster. Maybe some smoke .
Suggest you make up your own mind , I am only the messenger.Still a few de-rampers on the other side, but nothing constructive from them.

Ps one of these days we might know all the truth LOL.

EWRobson - 31 Jan 2005 22:58 - 513 of 1003

mikeran

Thanks! Does this mean that PDX are sub-contracting the manufacture? It seems reasonable to assume that the prototype work has been done in house and this must have involved tooling up. Strange that there is no mention in the Interim report. I also still feel in the dark about the cost of a unit. Mention has been made of licensing as opposed to outright sale; I hope they don't make the cybit mistake of initially taking crdit up front. Without knowing the sale price, you can't guage the meaningfulness of the 385 figure, even if correct. Presumably more will be known next Monday; but it seems to be a shot in the dark as to whether to build a position before then.

Eric

Dynamite - 01 Feb 2005 08:51 - 514 of 1003

Eric,

I have missed a bit here...What's the 385figure and significance of Monday...I'm a bit out of touch.
Di

mikeran - 01 Feb 2005 09:03 - 515 of 1003

The 385 figure was lifted from a poster on the other side- your guess as to how good info is. Mon. 7 feb. PDX results due.

Dynamite - 01 Feb 2005 09:21 - 516 of 1003

Oh thanks Mikeran...I knew the results were soon.
Di

mikeran - 01 Feb 2005 10:41 - 517 of 1003

Copied from the other side.

Gentlemen,

I regret having bought back 65,000 PDX last week. So I have sold 50,000 this morning at an average of 194p. The fact is that however one looks at this the capitalisation is too high.

Simon Cawkwell

Mikeran addition to this note-- Goldfinger do you always believe what SK tells you ?

EWRobson - 01 Feb 2005 12:26 - 518 of 1003

Mike

No sales recorded of a 50K unit this morning; nor groups of trades that might have made that up; only small sell's) at 194p. Does anyone believe anthing that this bloke says? If he has an armada of acolytes, though, it is unsettling to genuine traders; it may be best to steer clear until he has moved onto new pastures and new prey! sp well down though buys exceed sells.
