THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

is this EAW really that important?
from the very little i've bothered to read, we'ld potentially win a little bit on the one hand but lose an equal amount on the other

goldfinger - 10 Nov 2014 20:29 - 49933 of 81564

And Hilary as egg on her face ehhh Fred.

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2014 20:29 - 49934 of 81564

Uggh!

What a picture!

goldfinger - 10 Nov 2014 20:30 - 49935 of 81564

Cynic it is with the Tory back benches.

They are after camoron now and thats for sure.

Just watch it on the parliament channel

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2014 20:31 - 49936 of 81564

Manuel,

Yes!!!!!!

Read the label.

Yourself!

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2014 20:34 - 49937 of 81564

What a split party.

Almost as schizoid as "you know who".

The one who toes the party line!

=======

Manuel,

Not you.

Back to your kennel!

8-)

49930

Cyners see post 49930

this is just a part of it.......

Now it appears Cameron’s ruse has just collapsed. And here’s Theresa May – just yesterday – responding to Yvette Cooper:

“Thank you for your letter of 7 November. Let me be absolutely clear: Monday’s debate and vote in the House of Commons will be a debate and vote on the whole package of 35 measures – including the Arrest Warrant – which the Government wants the UK to remain part of in the national interest.”

Tory MPs – who were lined up for a big rebellion against the EAW (which would have embarrassed Cameron just days before the Rochester and Strood by-election) are understandably furious – as they feel the Commons has been lied to.

goldfinger - 10 Nov 2014 20:37 - 49939 of 81564

Hilary and Hays have gone quiet.

I wonder why.

Nigel Farage ‏@Nigel_Farage 1h

The failure to offer the Commons a vote, & thusly the British public a say on the European Arrest Warrant, is a farce http://news.sky.com/story/1370687/anger-as-european-arrest-warrant-vote-dropped …

cynic - 10 Nov 2014 21:00 - 49941 of 81564

i'm not interested in the parliamentary punch and judy show ..... i just wanted to know why it was deemed so important one way or another .... it seems to me that both sides shout equally loudly, so the chances are that it makes little difference in actuality

MaxK - 10 Nov 2014 21:27 - 49942 of 81564

At the end of the day.

What is all this about?

It's about politicians who cannot carry their supporters, not even their own mp's (all sides)

€urope has done blighty a great service, it has actually broken up the three way split that was the norm before.

All three main leaders are toast at the next election.

Who knows what will follow? But it cant be any worse than what we have now!

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2014 21:32 - 49943 of 81564

Max,

You have a remarkable imagination.

Cool down dear.

Cool down!

Life won't live up to your hopes or expectancy!

MaxK - 10 Nov 2014 21:41 - 49944 of 81564

Evening Fred.

Stop sniping, and be objective.

How do you seeing it panning out?

cynic - 11 Nov 2014 08:29 - 49946 of 81564

The arrest warrant is supported by the leaders of all three parties, who argue it is crucial for law enforcement

so what on earth was the logic of refusing the vote?
yes, for sure there are some hard eurosceptics who would have opposed, probably on both sides, but the response to them should surely have been the equivalent of "publish and be damned"

goldfinger - 11 Nov 2014 08:42 - 49947 of 81564

Exactly, it emerged late last night Camoron didnt want the back bench revolt so near to the Reckless by election.

BBC Radio 4 Today ‏@BBCr4today 6m6 minutes ago

We need a vote on the European Arrest Warrant to "put it beyond legal doubt" and stop complaints from Eurosceptics - Yvette Cooper #r4today

cynic - 11 Nov 2014 08:49 - 49949 of 81564

but the tories were always going to get thumped in strood, so what's the odds ..... he's just made yet a further rod for his own back ..... what on earth were he and his so-called advisers thinking of

totally moronic springs readily to mind

goldfinger - 11 Nov 2014 08:55 - 49950 of 81564

Well even Tory Boy (Paul Pearce Daily Mail) on what the papers say on SKY news last night was totaly confused with the PMs actions and hes a great Camoron supporter.

goldfinger - 11 Nov 2014 08:57 - 49951 of 81564

The BIG give away was the Home secretarys letter sunday to Eyvette Cooper shadow Home Office, saying it would be voted on. It was there in Black and White.
