Slimthru has already been successfully launched in a number of EU countries under various brand names, most notably in France, Spain, Portugal Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Germany and Austria, and although it has been available in the UK since last autumn, this will be the brand's first investment in television advertising.
A spokesperson for the company said The media and consumers have become increasing cynical about the claims that companies with diet products make, and so they should be! With Slimthru, we have a food and weight management product that has been clinically proven to do exactly what it says it does. People can also be re-assured that Slimthru is manufactured for us to the highest standards by DSM, one of the biggest food ingredients businesses in the world.
We have become a nation of habitual eaters with a quarter of men and women diagnosed as clinically obese in this country said Dr Ian Campbell, an obesity specialist. We welcome this new addition to weight management which we hope will help manage this serious health issue.
BioProgress PLC will work as co-promotion partners with Melbrosin using its developing network of retail outlets and supporting the media campaign
National advertising on both satellite and terrestrial TV will start in late May and run for approximately six weeks.
Slimthru is currently available in selected Alliance- Boots, Holland & Barrett and selected Healthcare retailers.
