Workplace management software supplier SmartSpace Software swung to a first-half profit after it sold some poorer-performing assets.
The company also announced it had acquired New Zealand software group Swiped On for £5.4m.
Pre-tax profit for the six months through July amounted to £623k, compared to losses of £661k on-year.
The company sold its systems integration and managed services divisions for £21.6m in mid-June.
Revenue from continuing operations fell to £1.9m, down from £2.1m on-year.
Pre-tax profit from continuing operations amounted to £0.6m, turning around a £0.7m on-year loss.

Workplace management software company SmartSpace Software said it had won a five-year contract with a 'leading international bank'.
The contract involved deploying the company's software across the client's global corporate real estate portfolio, covering more than 60 markets, the company said.
This platform, including the initial application services, would start to be delivered within the current financial year, with the services expected to be live by July 2019.
