Met my grandson for the first time on Wednesday. This 9.5lb  baby is called Zander and arrived nearly  to big for many of his new clothes. Mom and baby are doing well but granddads wallet is still a little sore.

This new outburst of earthquake activity in Japan has really worried the residents of Dudley following the devastating 5.2 quake here 2 years ago. With good reason residents have been pouring out of the area heading towards safer locations such as Oxford.  I am to convinced the 'big one' could hit here at any moment so I have packed the car and decided to spend a few days away in France.
