UK smallcap opening - Lupus rises on hopes of corporate activity soon
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Traders were again nibbling at Lupus Capital, where Greg Hutchings, former chief executive of conglomerate Tomkins, is chairman and sits on 12 pct of the equity.
Last week, Lupus completed a reorganisation of its capital and close watchers feel the company's first deal is imminent. Its aim is to buy businesses, but always with a view to a future exit via trade sales, demergers or flotations.
Lupus shares were 2-1/4 pence ahead at 20-1/4 by 8.21 am.
