Yes,
Peaked 3 years ago when I got in at the wrong time! Ex-top man a short-stayer full of the preverbial ******! Don't know much about AGU these days other than wish I'd not bought when I did. Guess it's just like any other small exploration-related company these days - just a case of waiting for a "find" of sorts or some kind of positive statement......................?

So having been in for 3 years I guess you must be pretty used to their ups and downs by now markusantonius. Any glimmer of light in 2005 do you think?

Indeed!
There's always a glimmer with ANY stock, isn't there?
IMHO they will stay flat UNLESS they make a find or a big player gets on board, e.g. a joint venture to explore or something similar. They debuted at 1p. and I paid more than x20 times that amount! Long term hold.

Oh dear! Well I've just got in at 12.5p as a risky play with a small holding. A return to your entry level would be nice from here!

Really hope it happens for us BOTH, Q1! All it needs is for the co. to strike or a find a JV partner. No reason why this cannot happen as there's as much chance with AGU as with any other exploration company.
Question - What persuaded you into buying these c.t. the umpteen others on the market? Maybe you know something that we don't!!!!!

What persuaded me was a sudden unexplained rise which I thought might be news leaking of a strike - it wasn't, just a few punters buying on a share tip. Having got them I researched them more thouroughly ( I know - it's the wrong way round!) and was quite impressed with the management team and the prospects, so decided to go long and give them a chance.
Wonder what is prompting the current buying - another tip?

Just joined Moneyam and the board but have been holding AGU for over a year now. I agree withe sentiments. I'm just short of break even but I saw them as a long term speculative punt. A bit frustrating that they haven't allowed me to retire yet, but no worries to date on all the news that I have tracked over the intervening months. Good luck to you both!

So guys - what do you think the upside is? When do you think it will show significant movement - I mean WHEN as opposed to th eobvious answer that it strikes!

Interesting large trades showing up @ 13.5p which possibly went through the other day not recorded until today. Volume 1,157,541 suggests something is happening.NMS=15,000. Chart looks to me as might push higher and may have rumour leaking out of China,Brazil or even both.Australia suffering from water shortage and laggard in the news stakes. Brazil gold and tantalum play is the more likely and need look no further than RNS dated 16 December 2004 "..........The sixty-nine gold assays that have been received to date have justified the board's optimism for the project.Tantalum and further gold assays are awaited. On the basis of the results received to date, the Company has applied for further licences in neighbouring areas........." Better than usual definition of a mine, hole in the ground with a liar standing at the top.Watch this space. Speculative and potential very exciting IF.........................R=14p Br=15p.imho.

ex-CEO of AGU was prophesing 2+ over 3 years ago. ALL BS IMO but he did manage to personally convince a couple of friends of mine at the time! Basically the demand for Tantalum back then in 2001/2 was far greater than it is today, I'm sad to report! However if they make a decent strike one day then a realistic target is probably 50p. topps IMHO. But if I can recoup most of my original stake then I'll be happy enough on this one. Hope I'm wrong, of course!
Best of luck.
Kus.

Chinapete - in answer to your question at the end of 9 of 17 this stock was tipped a week or so ago by Tom Bulford of The Red Hot Trader "expecting news from A&R exciting Mato Grosso prospect in Brazil before too long" with a short term price target of 20p
