Fri ftse pp

r2 4450
r1 4443
pp 4422
s1 4414
s2 4393

Ftse closed below its pp on Thu and i believe a +ve auction!, uptrend intact off the low above 22 (pp) and could target Weds highs if the dow can close above 10280, non frams tomorrow, watch Yahoo for early figs:)

Updated 6/3 for Friday's market.
Key DOW Levels for 6/4
UP Above 10,250
DN Below 10,170

Pull-Back
Dow pulls back from highs, forms bearish pattern.

From prior commentary, "...Look for the Dow to continue trending higher toward the upper boundary of the major downward-sloping range...Otherwise, a break below 10,225 will indicate weakness..."
The Dow traded both lower and higher today, but ultimately broke 10,225 to the downside, making for weakness to the Close, as seen in the 15 Minute Chart. The Dow lost 67 points for the session, but could be gearing up for an even sharper decline.

The 15 and 60 Minute Charts show that the Dow has formed an upward-sloping consolidation at the highs of the recent advance. This pattern is typically bearish and will likely lead to a push lower in the near term. A downside break from the pattern at 10,170 will likely push the Dow lower within the current overall uptrend, which could spark future strength.

Look for the index to continue trending sideways-to-up if the 10,250 level is violated tomorrow.

Short Term Dow

Short term, the Dow broke a clear short term support level at 10,215 this afternoon, seen in the 5 Minute Chart. Look for continued weakness below this level tomorrow morning.

Medium Term Dow

In the medium term, we closed Longs this morning at 10,235, giving us a 7 point loss. We later entered the market Short at 10,224, but stopped out with a 20 point loss. We are out of the market and will watch 10,250 up, and 10,170 down; using 20 point stops.

NASDAQ & S&P

The S&P trended slowly lower today, while the NASDAQ sold off in heavier fashion. The NASDAQ looks to be forming a highly bearish pattern, which could spark further weakness. *

Summary

The Dow ended the day lower after forming a double top today, sparking a 67 point decline. A downside break through the bottom of the sloping range at 10,170 will likely make for continued weakness tomorrow. Otherwise, a break through 10,250 will indicate continued upside movement.

I just wanted to add how beautiful the floral tribute pictured on Bullshares
thread is and how much it must be making Croc smile! It isn't possible to add
messages to that thread, so I hope the message can be passed on to Bullshare.
Martini - the photos and thoughts above are lovely, and opening the
thread is probably what croc would have wanted today.

stockbunny,

Thank you for the kind words, I will pass this onto Bullshare.

Well, after all the hype and build up to todays job data,
we're.................. still stuck in the same range we've
been in since the dawn of time. (Well, it seems like that long.)

Volume has been low in the US and the Eurozone for weeks now.
Nobody seems to be breaking their necks to buy anything at these
'Bargain Basement' levels, as the Broker sponsored TV pundits
are fond of telling us.

S@P, NDX, UKX, are all bumping up agaainst resistance again.
Don't know what the catalyst will be to break out of the ranges
one way or the other.

Fed's already said it will be raising rates, starting this month,
at a leisurely pace.

OPEC will raise oil output, speculators on margined borrowed money
will need to close if the price drops. And it always has before
when spiking to these levels.

Al-Qaeda will no doubt be planning it's next atrocity. Probably
timed to cause as much damage to the 'Infidel' US as possible.

US is growing nicely, but how much is priced in already?

If any of you can sort this little lot out and tell us where
everthing is going, then give me a bell first so I can take
a position before the herd.;-)

If there's no takers, I'll just do what I always do and follow
the charts between support and resistance. (A bigger range would
be nice, though, if someone could arrange it) :-)

A quiet week for me after playing catch up after a weeks holiday.
Just 4 trades. 3 closed for profit and one still in profit
but left open for the weekend to keep Fundamentalist company. ;-)

Melnibone.

Closing wrap

A sad day.

The floral Croc from all the BBers took centre stage at the wake and was then to do back for Maria to see and then on to join David at his grave side.

I took the liberty of casting a hand full of earth for all the BBers who where not able to be with us today.

PlanB - 04 Jun 2004 20:27 - 21 of 22

Thank you for doing that, Martini. There were a lot of us thinking of Croc and the scene of friends and family today.

A sad, reflective, but strangely enriching day.

RIP Croc.

zarif - 04 Jun 2004 21:19 - 22 of 22

Very Kind and thoughful of you Martini for doing all. Our thoughts and prayers are for david -RIP.
No words can convey how sad and down i feel and the vacuum and loss it creates.
