chance to grow (ALK)

eggbert - 23 Aug 2004 17:55

ALK share price seems a little more active these days.Electricity prices are set to rise. This may even make Alkanes British plants worth running.
The price is waiting to see how the German operation is doing & for any news on its landfill gas sites. These new ventures should see real gains for Alkane.Just gotta keep waiting.

Hi FT,

I think the price is already high enough in the UK.It has been driven down to a false level by goverments trying to win consumers votes. With the problems around the world the price will stay high for some time.We cannot rely totally on foreign energy.Alkane has found itself a few nice little niche markets. The price per MWh in Germany is 43 & the local distribution firm must buy all energy produced. It is hard to see how this could fail. The German firm is also supplying product to several countries so not relying on one market.
The Bio Gas move was also a good one as this is classed as renewable energy. You never know Tony might even put CMM into the Green bracket & Alkane would rocket. But forget about this,Alkane have got this far & now have a diverse business & energy prices rising.
The only way is up.
