Now, heres a company with an AIM quote and, surprisingly, improving figures. Lifes vissicitudes (and a poor set of Directors)have punished the price to a point where its worth, literally, a farthing to a jam tart as a quote. BUT, wait. A quote is WORTH something in this world and it may be that there are folk out there who recognize such things. there has been a buyer of this bombed out nonsense - how much is it really worth ?

To go back to my question of July. Who did actually want IN TO this outfit. They have systematically screwed up EVERY venture entered into and have, now, nothing to show for most of it. To revert to the matter raised by me in the first place THE ONLY THING NOW MARKETABLE is their QUOTE. And they are even considering botching this one up. What a dreadful bunch of losers. That said, there is HEAVY trading in the stock....WHY?

HARROGATE (HGP) 10th Dec 2004
Harrogate has two wholly-owned businesses. Discus provides recruiters with behavioural-profiling software, while JobQ gives online recruiters "killer questions" to test potential employees. Its big customer is easyJet. But these businesses' prospects could soon be put into the shade if half-owned Realtimetext successfully completes beta testing. The system allows lawyers to change contracts in real-time, and has been tested for more than a year by Simmons & Simmons. A licence will cost around 300,000,plus installation and maintenance fees. Lower staff costs cut last year's losses.
IC View - Harrogate is a high-risk, but inexpensive, bet on Realtimetext winning clients.
NAV 0.20p per share.

I have a small holding now and its up again. I am starting to think there is a good reason for this rise as Harrogate in the past have given a no reason for share price movement during closed period. This time it has risen over 160% so far in a few weeks and there is no statement. They would not have to make any statement if the rise is justified as it will be contained in the pending results. For a few hundred quid this is getting a little exciting now.

And must say getting more exciting as it steams up. No news from them tonight on SP movement and the results will be confirmed good in my opinion and this could move up much higher so exciting times for now.

Moving up again today. I have held for some two years and this is the most positive I've seen without a statement from the company saying they no of no reason for the rise. Results due within next 4 weeks or so. I was told September but others have heard August. Any sort of profit will see them fly and the info coming back from other posters about discus performance looks good so could be an interesting run up to results . Hopefully if they are good then we might see a major re-rating on price. Online limits are now buy 150000 at .32 and sell 1500000 at .27 so stock is tight.

Just added a little bit more, and after I did the offer went up.
Its a real sh*t or bust play and I am happy to lose the lot or happy to get a massive gain.

squidd it makes in interesting after what happened to ULT today, ULT went up 100% after the last news was digested and they issue a statement to say the price rise is not for any known reason.
HGP goes up 160% on no news, and nothing is said.
Hope you got out of ULT in time to get maximum profit.

Starting another up now, and results will be due any day this month. Still a lose all or big gain play, tickets are cheap and you get 4 for 1p for those who like a total risk ride. There is some downside protection in that they have no debt (unlike most of the microcaps) and if all goes wrong will be looking at holding a large lump in a clean cash shell, but its the ride that counts and for anyone holding the choice of total loss or total gains is fun
Do not buy if you do not like the chance of total loss of your money, or nearly total loss
Vertical Limit has some things in common with HGP, one false move and you are off and down and dead, get it right and reach for the blue sky, will keep me on my toes every morning at 7am, must add for my holding here I am happy to write it off, this is absolute risk speculation.

Edging up again. Results in September. As you say PP could be huge could be nothing. Encouraging that in December they commented immediately that they knew of no reason for price movement but this time nothing. Fingers crossed that fortune favours the brave.

Another big move up.
Papal - it could well be but also I think stock seems to be short as any buying is moving the price up. Either way I'm not complaining.
