Anyone in SFX ? .. relatively new company. lots of potential ( & cash calls!)Results due soon.. looks interesting. Any news/views ?

skyhigh.... enjoying a good ride with SEO at the present and a bumpy ride with a few others (pci, rtd, whog, ).

still a bit of a novice but learning a bit more each day.

do you have any tips to pass on to a beginner?

Hi skyhigh, have you checked out Avanti screenmedia its probably a better punt than this one as it has more income streams and is a market leader. (just won a 4.3m contract) I set up a trade AVG a while ago.........

I'm in SEO as the majority of the western world appear to be but the best advice i can give you is DYOR and don't get sucked in after the partys over ive got burnt a number of times recently and am nursing heavy paper losses in some, this means i have to keep the finance tied up

But im looking to Monday for some good news on this one

I'm stuck with a few bummers ie... DEMG, CWV, WTV, WGT, MIL,(was IAL)

Djh57, I'm also in RTD... loking good. PXC.. .will actually take off soon I'm sure.
Also in ARC,SOP,LBN,IDOX,NWD,IQE,CFG,TND,COR,

2 big lessons I've learnt over the yrs... If a good share doesn't move don't sell too soon.. there's been plenty of shares I've sold that go up soon after.. quality comes through in the end. If it's making profits and growing t/over, revenues/profits the sp will come good sooner or later.

Also, use a 15% stop loss on a share where the outcome is looking dodgy/uncertain..

Sky ive updated a previous thread on avanti screenmedia, if you like SFX you should definately be interested in Avanti ASG.......

No news so far, my broker's (td waterhouse) website is still showing prelim announcement due today!
I' ve tried to access the SFX website to check the date but it won't download.

They can still release results at any time today...... if they don't issue results today maybe something else is happening in the background like a cash raising exercise or big contracts to be finalised to be released at the same etc., let's see

This is too quite the company cannot continue to let the sp drop! If its realistic about expansion and requires a placing for funds it makes sense to keep the sp stable and not let it freefall to 6p now...........

Results out... big loss ! (not un-expected) Not sure what to make of it all but lots of good things happening but can't see any reference to future t/o or revenue expectations.
Looks like this is one to keep on the back burner.. perhaps we'll see encouraging news at the interims..

I feel quite disenchanted with sfx! I was hoping for more contract wins to be announced but am sure there still under negotiation.

The expansion into more Malls is significant attaining 300m footfall. That kind of market reach is bound to have potential advertisers foaming at the mouth!

Im dug in for the long term on these ones I feel the profits will come through next year very strong. The orders will be based on multi year contracts with the company having little overheads.

The use of BT for support should provide a cost effective service. The safety net with these shares is they quite prone to be taken over by big advertisers. Im sure they are keeping a close eye on scren fx as its becoming extremely hard to find a effevtive medium to target customers.

I feel optimistic that they will not need shares issue due to their cashin hand. If they dont require a further dilution the share is poised to move significantly with any contract wins. Anybody getting in at this level like you skyhigh are sure to make on these, unfortunately im gonna have to average my holding down or sit tight on these for long term.........

More good news released this morning... company going from strenth to strength.. sp has got start going up soon ...time to top up methinks....

Not only that but tipped as a buy in this month's RHPS. Wouldn't always be taken in by RHPS tips... however, SFX demonstrated with yesterday's news that deals/good news is being regularly released... get in quick I say! (imho)

Fallen back a bit now due to profit taking... but...good time to get in (imho, dyor). this will slowly get stronger and spike up along the way on any good news

agree this is an excellent business prospect worked in industry for many years and was involved in early r+d for digi screens for major outdoor player

with more contract wins this could fly

How crap is this share/company ? about as crap as SOP,AMU,IRN,GFC.. and that's bl**dy aweful ! ... not worth me selling any of these shares...hopefully these dogs of 2005/6 will be the stars of 2007 ! Dream on !

I absoulutely hate this share.... should have sold on a stop loss ages ago but didn't really regrt it now...RHPS & Shares Mag reaaly raved about this one a yr ago....how wrong have they got this one !
Don't take any notice of RHPS or S.Mag any more...

How wrong was I with this one ! Not worth me getting out now ...I'll have to sit it out and hope it comes good sooner rather than later.
