Designer Vision Limited - Join the in-car entertainment boom (DVS)

Technotamed - 13 Mar 2006 21:04

Remember when very few cars had a radio, now its common place.
Electric windows, sun-roofs and air-con where for top of the range vehicles.
Only XR3i and GTIs had fuel injection.

Now we are seeing SAT-NAV and in-car DVD and LCD SCREENS being fitted by car owners These are considered luxury items still or add-on kits.

We are now seeing SAT-NAV and in-car entertainment systems being fitted to more and more new cars, this will be the expected norm in the future.

DVL has over 15 years experience in the development and supply of in-car audio visual entertainment and satellite navigation solutions, with key strengths in the following areas:
Research and development
Concept design
CAD design and support
Programme management
OEM engineering liaison
Hard and soft trim fabrication
Performance and safety verification
Component manufacturing
Production assembly
Logistics management
Marketing support

With yet another contract added again today I feel that Designer Vision Ltd is the stock to back and get in early on the car entertainment boom.

I've seen the advfn thread but thought a little coverage was needed here as well, good prospects worth shouting about.

ravey davy gravy - 19 Mar 2006 19:14 - 6 of 223

Results out on Mon 27th March so a much clearer picture will
emerge then of just how well the company is performing hopefully.

Harry6 - 19 Mar 2006 19:34 - 7 of 223

From 12p to less than 3p in a year - loads of contracts with big name co's, Ex Virgin blokey on the board. Looks like a steal, but the sp performance is a little worrying. Isn't it?

Technotamed - 23 Mar 2006 16:54 - 8 of 223

What a rise ahead of prelims monday - 43% rise on small number of trades must be low on stock, traders will take their positions Friday ready for Monday. Heres hoping for good news, onwards and upwards more blue sky to come.

Technotamed - 24 Mar 2006 17:43 - 9 of 223

Well looks like 70% buys today and a little profit taking, heres looking for a good result on Monday and further rises. Good luck all.

Technotamed - 27 Mar 2006 17:28 - 10 of 223

Good result today, checked the year end results with my companies Finance Director who expressed an opinion that the company was heading in the right direction for recovery.

Turn-over up from 2,574,709.00 to 9,256,354.00, Losses reduced, extra funding of 500,000, increased cash reserves. Increased client base, new products and increased orders, other income streams coming on board.

Looking like a good start to 2006 and heading in the right direction to an operating profit.

A good recovery stock in laymans terms.

ravey davy gravy - 27 Mar 2006 17:45 - 11 of 223

A poster who holds Dvs mentioned the interest on loans as being very
high, any views on this Techotamed ?

I agree a good recovery stock and it will start going back up when all the
traders are fully out.

Technotamed - 27 Mar 2006 18:50 - 12 of 223

That never can up this morning, but if I manage to get some more time with our Finance Director (used to work for Ernst and Young before working with us full time) I will ask the question.

Technotamed - 28 Mar 2006 16:47 - 13 of 223

Some recovery today as traders have had some time to take in the year end results and can see the long term potential.

Technotamed - 31 Mar 2006 14:00 - 14 of 223

I cannot understand AFX producing their news release with the headline "loss widens" !!

The book value of the company has improved.

Ratio of Assets against Losses for 2004 was 2.7-to-1

Ratio of Assets against Losses for 2005 was 3.7-to-1

Rising book value has a positive impact on the market value which in turn pushes the share price up.

Treblewide - 31 Mar 2006 14:15 - 15 of 223

techno...you have missed a major point the loss did widen

Technotamed - 31 Mar 2006 14:54 - 16 of 223

Yes I do understand that, hopefully the loss will decrease as we progress through the year and pushing the book value higher still.

Treblewide - 31 Mar 2006 15:00 - 17 of 223

so you can understand why AFX lead with the facts as opposed to what might happen in the future?

Dil - 21 Apr 2006 11:43 - 21 of 223

Could be worth a punt.

ravey davy gravy - 21 Apr 2006 17:25 - 22 of 223

My biggest holding by far and increasing every week whilst the mm's
play around with it at sub 5p bargain prices.

More deals will be announced soon.

Technotamed - 21 Apr 2006 19:39 - 23 of 223

Chaps at work jumping on board as are a couple of friends, there'll either be thanking me or I could be running for cover. I'm confident this is a very good punt indeed.

Technotamed - 07 May 2006 21:14 - 24 of 223

Must be due another contract RNS soon.
