Bobcolby - 14 Aug 2010 10:12 - 51 of 139

+2% Position 13913.

The vast improvement in my portfolio was achieved by using the Swedish Fiscal Management system.

Bullshare - 14 Aug 2010 11:55 - 52 of 139

What a pin ? ;-0)

Haystack - 14 Aug 2010 12:11 - 53 of 139

He must have got an advanced copy, unless he speaks Swedish!

Swedish Fiscal Policy 2010
The 2010 report of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council was published on 17 May 2010. There is now an English translation of the summary available. The full report will be translated later this year.

Bobcolby - 14 Aug 2010 18:43 - 54 of 139

:-)

Bobcolby - 18 Aug 2010 09:41 - 55 of 139

Some years ago, during a period of wildly volatile interest rates etc., the Swedes adopted a policy of doing nothing. It worked very well!

I believe they called it "The pipe smokers policy" or something like that.

Haystack - 27 Sep 2010 19:07 - 61 of 139

I am having problems disposing of a fund and then buying a new one. I amend the portfolio and it shows it changed. I save the changes and the portfolio is shown as changed, but keeps reverting back to original.

Karl(MoneyAM) - 28 Sep 2010 10:14 - 62 of 139

We are sorry that you are experiencing problems with changing your portfolio.

This may be due to the selection not being valid and an error message being displayed or "red cards" from the Referee on the right hand side under the allocation pie chart. Please check carefully for large red warning messages above the selection when you have pressed the save button.

If a selection has been saved, a large blue confirmation message will be displayed, please carefully check the confirmation of the changes to ensure they are as you wish to request. You may find it useful to make the changes in the following order:

1. Remove funds that you wish to sell
2. Add new funds
3. Re-balance the remaining funds
4. Check that all allocations and funds are as you expect
5. Save selection

Alternatively your selection may have been removed by you "amending" a previously saved selection. Once you have a saved selection, if you press the "amend" button before it has been processed, this will remove it from the queue and you will need to re-save it again and wait until the time that is shown in the confirmation. Please note that all trades before 12 noon are processed the same night, after 12 noon are processed the following night.

Haystack - 29 Sep 2010 01:23 - 63 of 139

I have tried for days to get rid of one of my holdings - J P Morgan Global ex UK Bond. It said I had a saved ytransaction and I have left it alone for a couple of days and I still have it. I have been trying to get rid of it for more than a week now.

Karl(MoneyAM) - 29 Sep 2010 08:52 - 64 of 139

Haystack,

If you tell me your specific selection I will try it from here to see what the problem is. Please can you give all allocations for the whole portfolio.

eg:
Fund A 10%
Fund B 5%
Fund C remove
Fund Z new 10%

Karl(MoneyAM) - 29 Sep 2010 11:20 - 67 of 139

Haystack,

The small trades are re-balance trades, they are detailed in-depth in the FAQ section on the website:

My Trades History shows small amounts of buys and sells for my funds. Why is this?

From your account holdings/transactions and portfolio I can see that if you were trying to sell out of JPMorgan Global Ex UK Bond and reinvest in a Specialist/Equity fund you would not have been allowed due to the maximum Specialist/Equity rule, which is 75% of the portfolio. A large red error message would have been displayed above the selection.

Please see another FAQ relating to problems changing your portfolio:

I am having problems making changes to my portfolio.
