I have held Anpario (ANP) for a couple of years and think they should outperform in 2015. AIM listed, small company which makes high performance feed additives, used mainly in poultry and pig farming. Historic use of antibiotics to speed animal growth is gradually being phased out by legislation and ANP seems well placed to capitalise. Market takes a lot of time to accept change, however, so no rapid increase in sales/profits expected, but imo a lot to be said for slow and steady. No debt at last balance sheet date, sufficient spare cash to encourage some buying in of own shares since. CEO used to work for Swiss giant Novartis and read yesterday that they have just sold their Animal Health business to Eli Lilly for over 4x annual revenues. At market cap £58M, ANP is presently valued at around 2x annual revenues. Different scale of operation (Novartis sales around $1.2Billion p.a.) but still interesting and imo ANP could well attract a predator when it becomes big enough to be a bit of a nuisance to the big boys. That may be some years away, but I am hopeful recent share price recovery (after getting ahead of itself twelve months ago) will continue into 2015. Always dyor.
