The main activity of Biofuels is the large scale production and exploitation of biodiesel and glycerine following the construction and commissioning of the initial plant.
Biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and, as an environmentally friendly product, can make a significant contribution towards reducing green house gases and meeting Kyoto targets.

SMALL CAPS: BIOFUELS REASSURES INVESTORS OVER NEW PLANT
By Robert Orrand Peter Garnham
Published: September 6 2005 03:00 | Last updated: September 6 2005 03:00
*Biofuels, which is seeking to build Europe's largest biodiesel plant on Teesside, slipped 3.7 per cent to 142p as its self-imposed deadline to begin production at the plant crept closer. Biofuels has pledged to begin "full operation" by the end of this month, although some investors are worried the facility will not be ready. An August deadline has already proved ambitious and Biofuels has pledged to update investors in two weeks. While timing remains an issue, noises from inside the company are that it will meet its sales targets
This was all i could find,,Cheers JB..

Is the high price of diesel now a problem for biofuels ?
ie an additive to diesel will increase the price at the pumps

Its good to see it back in positive territory now. A steady rise to the 19th would be nice - although I have to admit I never expected to see it rise until that date. Then good news out hopefully, and the skys the limit.
NickB, the higher the price of diesel the better for Biofuels, except at the moment, while they are not producing and the hedge is still in place.

Thanks Jimmy, while your were posting that I was catching up on all the posts on ADFVN and found the link over there. I liked the quote, "when it's finished later this month", very reassuring.

hit the linked chain symbol above the post-box and paste the web address there. remember to delete the probabyl duplicated http:/ which is (unhelpfully) pre-set in the window. Then hit OK to confirm the link address, then hit OK to post it. It appears between <> which turn into a blue link when posted.
I think you'll find that North East Cumbria is a little bit tot he north and east of the rest of Cumbria, but I'm none the wise for the link since my laptop can't read it.
