Looks like the alternative transport arrangement to the Bartons Arms is out of action?:

Two men have been arrested for allegedly going on a drinking spree in a stolen hearse with a body in the back, police say.

That's where my body went!

survived87 - 03 Sep 2007 17:32 - 507 of 1427

Well preserved in alcohol I hope !! Anyway, probably safer in the back of a hearse rather than some coaches ....

PS: Can't find any pies on the Bartons Arms menu, nearest substitute seems to be:
CRISPY WONTON (Meat or vegetarian) .
Parcels of marinated minced Pork and Prawns or vegetables wrapped in wonton pastry and deep-fried until golden, served with a sweet chilli dip.
And accompanied by Chang Thai beer (6.4%abv): Winner of Gold Medals at International beer awards. Grainy, fruity, crisp and refreshing. Deceptively strong.

...I'm getting hungry again.

Well, if you ever pass thru Bangkok and want to try the Massaman Curry, then here's a good (moving) location to sample it:

Also recommend the Tahsaneeya Mai Tai (the signature cocktail to whet the appetite with a blend of light and dark rums, lime and syrup).

Survivor, Are you suggesting Bangkok as a rendezvous for next months meetings?

You must be doing well in the market!

Well, one can always dream..... Will probably have to go for a 'cruise' from Gas Street Basin instead (and take a processed cheese sandwich) ........

How about an Olympic sausage then....

A butcher has been told to take down a sign showing five sausage rings in the shape of the Olympic logo.

Fred1new - 10 Sep 2007 10:43 - 517 of 1427

So far, so good. Will pick you up at the station, at 12.30pm as previously suggested. Meet any other new faces at the Barton Arms at 1pm.

Survivor, Re. bigamist

I don't know why but it reminded me of the song line "oh will they never learn."

survived87 - 10 Sep 2007 13:05 - 518 of 1427
